I go to the gym 3x's a week.. Mondays i do Back/Bi's, 3 different excercises per muscle, 4-5 sets each excercise, usually 8-10 reps, per set. Wedenesday I Legs/Tri's I do 2 excercies for legs, 5 sets each.. 10 reps per set, and i rotate switch off between squats, lifts, press and lunges.. for tri's I do 3 different excercises, 4 sets each, 8-10 reps.. Friday or Sat, I do chest & delts.. For chest I do 3 excersizes, change up flat bench, flies, dumbell press, incline dumble press, and delts 3 excercizes I do crazy 8's, shrugs, dumbell shouder press. Sometimes, if im not sore enough, I'll do decreasing sets until failure for a particular muscle, I throw in supersets every once in a while.. Do I need to do more? When Im done in the gym, I can barley drive my car home m muscles are so torn. Also I dont get a lot of sleep, so I try to give my muscles longer to recover.. thanks s.v | ||

yo...how's the cycle going bro? i say you're doing just great...it's the intensity that matters, not the volume. you can get away with a bit more volume while on gear though....good luck PA | ||

I am curious as to why you would work your Triceps on Wed. when you do all of your pressing movements on Friday? Also if I read that right you do roughly 12 sets for your Triceps and only 10 sets for your legs??!! Which is the bigger muscle? Personally I would switch up your combinations. Put the larger muscle ahead of the smaller, and add more leg work. That's just me though. "You can't fire a canon from a canoe". ------------------ | ||

No.. for legs, I do two separate excercises each leg day.. I will do 5 sets of each of the two excerises, at 8-10 reps per set. I do one heavy one medium.. Like if I do Squats, I do lifts for excercise #2, if I do lunges, I'll do press for #2. I dont like to do isolation work on legs, its a waste of time for bulking.. and tricepts, I do 3-5 sets, 8-10 reps.. I go very heavy though. I hate to work traps.. I like to split the traps out of my shoulder/chest day because I rip myself apart on shoulders and chest, and tricepts are not a main focus, and I like to have more energy to work on chest/shoulder (crazy 8's fucking kill me.. I almost wrecked my car because my delts are useless after crazy 8's) ... My form is suffering a little because Im really trying to push my max, and working tri's on a different day helps me a little on chest shoulder day. |
