I know its good to drink a glass of grape juice after a workout ( I think to restore glycogen ) but I was wondering if I should still drink it if I lift at night. I would be getting home and drinking it between 10-10:30 and going to bed at 11:30. Do I need to worry about gaining fat from the sugar/starchy carbs? Thanks bros!

Will it not help in burning fat (if you drink some fruit juice right after working out)??? I take fruit juices, Gatorade and other carb drinks during workouts. I thought it helps restoring glucogen and in burning fat??? Let's bump to find out....

<peace> It won't help burn fat. It will help reduce free radicals and will also replace lost glycogen. </peace>

You have to watch some of those drinks, they have alot of calories and carbs, so if your in your cutting phase you need to be careful. One drink I really like is ECA stack, alomost no carbs, very little calories and acts like to ultimate orange. You wont be able to drink this late at night though.

I'm not wanting it to help me burn fat I drink it to restore glycogen. I'm just worried about gaining fat from drinking a glass late at night. Thanks

As long as you drink it after a hardcore workout it shouldn't be a problem even though it's late at night. ------------------

dont drink a whole aot then, i weigh ~225 and dieting down, i try not exceed 30g of simple sugars after work out.. normally its like 30g of carbs total (20 of which is sugars) for my body thats just enough carbs to recover my glycogen levels.. everyone is different.. start with less juice, adjust ur intake |
