The F.B.I. has been and is continueing to spread they're implementatin of the 'carnevore' system, which is a machine they sit in the server room of ISP's and it reads all the email that passes through, and if an Email contains flagged words the message is saved for human review. If you do business via email I would suggest using encrypted messages. If you don't already have a secure encryption program download PGP, its free, it was written by a great programmer and implements tried and true algorithms. Its a public Key encryption system so you can encrypt your message to your supplier and never have to share a password, only he can decrypt it with his private key. Don't waste time with some half @!#$ program, if your sending messages you don't want read, use only programs written by cryptographers that implement algorthims that have been crypto-analized for years. Spread the word. Free security in your online deals. www.pgp.com- FREE THIS WAS POSTED BY A MEMBER OF ANOTHER BB CHAT, TELL ME WHAT YOU BRO'S THINK....SEIFER [This message has been edited by Seifer (edited March 07, 2001).] |
