I have 1cc insulin syringes, and recently got some humulin. I know its dumb to take if i know nothing about it but im trying to get info. How much of the syringe do i have to fill up to inject 1IU of the humulin? Thanks.     | ||

1/2 a notch. your syringe is probably divided up into 10 sections (10, 20, 30, 40, etc)... then each section is broken into 5 sections. so each notch would be 2 IU. i know it seems like a small amount to take but trust me (i'm 15 years diabetic) DON'T TAKE MORE THAN 2-3 IU at a time if you are an insulin newbie. work your way up and be aware of any warning signs of hypoglycemia. i've been extremely hypo hundreds of times and it ain't pleasant! |
