Im trying to bring my legs up to speed this year. Here is my new workout plan: two days on - one day off. 3 upper body workouts, 1 leg workout. Ill work legs every third workout. The following is an example. Again, after every two workouts is a rest dayn no matter how the training split works out. chest legs chest back legs back arms Because of the rest days in between each workout, leg days alternate between heavy quad day and heavy hams/calves. Each upper body group will be trained the heaviest after a seven day rest. Rest days range between 3-4 days for legs and 5-7 days for upper body. So far its working and Im really bringing out the sweep of my upper quad. Whatcha think? | ||

Recovery shouldn't be an issue since you're using 4 grams of shit per week! You aren't lying about the quad sweep. | ||

have yo ever tried this?? leg extension warmp up for 25-30 reps then go do this heavy legpress 6-8 reps leg extension for 40 reps..... go from one excercise to the other with out stopping, go through it for times, its a good way to stimulate groth... but watch out it hurts like a mother | ||

Baller - I do those at least once every 1-2 months. I call it monster sets. I pick three excersizes and hit them one after the other with no rest. I catch my breath then repeat 2-3 times. As a general rule, I always pre-exhaust my quads by doing 3 sets of extensions. Then I hit hams, calves - THEN hit my heavy quad excersizes. I used to do hams on a seperate day, but I can still train quads heavy at the end of a workout. I gain an extra rest day by hitting them both in the same workout. | ||

Try doing legs twice a week. One day do quads the next leg day same week do hamstrings. | ||
