Any thoughts on if 15-25 mg D-bol would be effective at reducing the cortisol surge resulting from low calories and cardio???

Sounds good to me. Just figure out how puffy dbol makes you look, or else get some dandelion or other diuretic. I retain almost no water from even 50mg+/day, so it's not a problem for me...

Hey Shadow. The dbol will not reduce or prevent your body from producing cortisol. It will merely increase anabolism and hopefully your body will now be in an anabolic state thus overriding the catabolism caused by the increased cortisol levels. When you come off the dbol your body will be in an even higher catabolic state as the build up of cortisol will enable this to happen. Perhaps a cortisol inhibitor or seek of ways to reduce the catabolism. Steroids could be the way to go or clen or any other supplement that will act as an anti catabolic. Dbol can be used successfully though but it will not prevent cortisol from being produced. Peace ------------------ E2's Steroid Pictures Pictures of many different drugs. Would you guys recommend dbol during precontest prep? If so, how much daily and when to quit before the show?

Iron Game, But gear does displace cortisol from receptors, so if Shadow is in a situation where his body is creating higher cortisol due to the stress of the diet, then the dbol will help aleviate its effects by "blocking" the receptor. When he gets off the diet, the stress level goes down, and so does cortisol. He can then cycle off the dbol. It's like Nolva blocking estrogen. You simply use it until you're done with gear, and then as your estrogen falls, you can come off the Nolva. [This message has been edited by stalker (edited March 05, 2001).]

Yes Stalker you are correct but estrogen and cortisol are different hormones. Although the dbol will cause a positive state of anabolism when stopped free flow of cortisol remains high and now no anabolism because the dbol is stopped. Nolvadex will block the er and it would be unworthwhile to continue its use for an indefinite period of time. There will be a time when he must come off and the nightmare scenario will be inevitable this is why I suggest a cortisol inhibitor/blocker. Peace

I dissagree, I am using dbol for contest prep at 30mg per day, It has done wonders for me. I am eating around 100g of carbs and 300g of protein and I am getting cut as hell while adding ten pounds. If you noticed that is off only 1600 cals a day, plus a hundred from fat... I been on for three weeks and now am going to taper to 15mg a day for six days, then run 200mg of primo for five weeks, My show is in Five and Half weeks...I am holding a little water, but you can see great straitions in my legs, back, shoulders, upper chest, and my ab's are looking great in the morning... I hope this helps.... |
