two questions,
1. i read an aticle the other day from some doctor who says that tattoos permanently damage the underlying muscle and cause them not to respond as well to weight training. any thoughts?
2. my first contest is in about 3 months. i have alot of tattoos. do youu guys think this will take away from the attention on my muscles or will it bring more attention to me. all of the tattoos are tasteful and look good??

I read the same article, not sure about it or your other question. Did your tats "grow" as you grew? and if so is there a point where the image will be stretched because of to much new size?

If you've competed in the past you should know that tatoos and and shows are like 2 dicks, they don't mix, unless you do a great, and I mean a great deal of tanning, so they won't be that noticable...wish you the best!!!

this is gonna be my first competition. i never thought i would compete so the tats never bothered me. now that i am so big, it makes me seem even more intimidating. and the tats grew with my skin. i have gained 50 pounds of muscle since my first tat and they all still look the same. i think im gonna try alot of tanning and stain for the comp.

Ramstack is right. What you can do is take a week of tanning work, and later on you can paint yourself with a lotion that some people use because they dont have their pigmentation right and before the show use pro-tan. I have one in my right arm and I competed without any problem, even in the photos this don,t get noticiable.

yeah dorian yates got crushed year after year because of his tattoos .... tan a bunch if that doesnt work well enough for you , look for a product called " Derma-blend " its a heavy makeup people use to cover scars , tattoos etc . its available in a variety of tones ( from almost white to very dark brown ) .
