Not sure if this idea has already been posted since I am new to the board - but I have a pretty good way to get around delivery signatures. I have a note posted right outside my front door, next to my mailbox that says something to the effect of: "Attention U.S. Post Office, UPS, FedEx, & Airborne Express - I am now working from my home office. Please leave all deliveries regardless of whether or not I am home and use this note to waive the signature." I printed this out on my PC and printed my name - but didnt actually sign it ( that way I could say that the note was a fake if ever questioned). I have never had any problems. They have left the note up and they kindly put all of my stuff in the bushes by the door. Maybe this idea could work for some of you who are concerned!

that note is your written acceptance of the package-once you take possesion of it-its yours-however feds and customs are not gonna get bent of shape abotu a guy getting some sos ampules-and if they were gonna bust you the feds would be delivering it-not fedex because they probably would think you are a dealer to bust you in the first place-thats who they are really interested in-but if it makes you feel safer then you should keep your system. ------------------

roger that JBack - but you know the deal after you receive the package. Take a big, black marker and write "return to sender" on the outside of the package and place it beside your front door ( inside your house, not outside - you really dont want to return to sender and leaving it outside will do just that ). If you are being watched, they will nail you very quickly. With "return to sender on an unopened package - there is nothing they can do to you. You can say that you have no idea who sent this to you or why. I usually say that it is safe to open after about 3 to 5 days. [This message has been edited by FlyFit (edited March 04, 2001).]

Or you could just open up a mailbox at Mailboxes Etc. and they will sign for you. |
