I think it just depends on you...I never eat anything pre-workout, others like you said prefer some type of carbs. I'd avoid simple carbs though, I used to down a gatorade right before I hit the gym and I found myself actually getting sleepy mid-workout.

I make sure that I have a really good meal 2 3 hours before a workout, which is high in carbs and protein, and then a shake with protein and multodextrin based carbs about an hour before hand.

You dont really want to have simple carbs immediately prior or during a workout as this way you will maximise the insulin spike which will result from a post workout shake, which should include sugars and protein to help facilitate this.

I THINK THAT IT IS WORTH IT. IT IS HIGH IN CALS, CARBS,PROTEIN AND LOW IN FAT SO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MASS I THINK YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY WITH IT. IT TASTES GOOD IN WATER OR MILK BUT I ALWAYS DRINK MINE WITH 1%MILK. IT IS ALSO PRETTY CHEAP. GOOD LUCK AND IF YOU DECIDE TO TRY IT LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF IT.

I drink an MRP about 30 minutes b4 i go to the gym.Food is too heavy, but i don't like to feel empty. When getting ready 4 a show I just go w/ a straight protein drink w/ no carbs so my body burns fat 4 fuel, not sugars or muscle tissue. This is a very individual thing, however,as each person feels differently.

I always drink a protein shake or a little protein snack about 30 minutes before workout. If I didn't eat before workout, I would feel like a missed a meal.

Besides Pussy?

I train on an empty stomach and have grown to enjoy it much more than eating first.

You shouldn't eat anything right before a workout. If you do your digestive system and your muscles will be competing for your blood. the digestive system always wins.Eat 2-3 hours prior to workout.( I guess pussy wouldn't hurt, though)
