you need a script for humalog from my understanding, but not for Humulin-R, which is a tad slower acting. R is what I will be using. | ||

Look I keep repeating this response to How to get insulin....call a pharmacy in your area and tell them that you cousin is in from out of town and broke his insulin bottle and he wants you to pick him up some.Say "Can I do that without a percription?" This will let you know (without having to get the guts up to go in the store) if the store will sell to you (some require a diabetic card) It worked for me in one phone call and I didn't even have to worry about the phone police tapping the call | ||

Okay, so the person at the Pharmacy see's some huge riod'ed out monster stomping her way and asks her for some insulin...I could ALMOST see her giving to him, no matter what the circumstances. Besides, what do you do the next time you need some in like 2-4weeks? Go stomping in again with the same story? Come on. WC - where do you get your "R?" Email me if you must brother... | ||

no you don't need the same story again! JESUS the origanal story is to check the pharmacy's policy on selling to you without a script! From there on you just walk in and by it. | ||

Deepsquat is right, you're going to have to call around a bit and see if you can get someone to buy your story. If not just go with the humalin r. Just can't eat fat for four hours after. no biggy plus it's much cheaper. ------------------ | ||

I love how you just say, just go with Hum-R lol. Okay, no here's a question for you deepsquat, do you think they will sell it to people under the age of 21? I'm not worried about that, but there are others around me (ahem...you know who I'm refering to, to the people who I'm speaking of), that would love to be "In" on the insulin thing. Also, do you think a pharmacy is that much more likely to give you "R" than other insulin? | ||

I had a friend of mine go get my Humilin-R for me. He doens't look like he works out at all and looks like he may actually be diabetic. I'm not sure if he could have gotten Humalog for me though. He just told the guy that his friend was home sick and ran out of insulin. It worked... ------------------ | ||

Well Demon. I'm sorry if I offended you somehow by saying that. Anyway he's a very skinny guy(6' and 160lbs). Diabetics don't have the greatest advantage in gaining muscle. Who do you think they would rather give a bottle of insulin to? A guy that's a 230 muscular pounds or him??? ------------------ | ||

No Daeo, you didn't offend me. I was just curious what you felt diabetics looked like. As you can probably guess, I'm diabetic and a bodybuilder as well. Actually, if a diabetic wants to, he or she can put on a substantial amount of muscle. Thank about it, most non-diabetics use maybe 20 ius of slin a day and experience some nice growth. Imagine using two or three times that amount. Anyway, no problems, I just wanted to dispell any myths that diabetics have a certain look about them. | ||

Don't say do you have any 'slin. That's like asking do you have any Tylenol  Just say I would like a bottle of humulin-R. If they ask you the size take 10ml. They will probably ask you if you have a 'script and just say no and you will still get the insulin. With a 'script it can be tax deductable. When I bought it she asked me if I had a 'script and I said no then she gave me the bottle. Don't be nervous they might get suspicious. ------------------ | ||

One more thing to consider when finding a proper place to buy your 'slin. Go to your nearest Walmart. The SuperWalmart's pharmacy here where i live, has a big ass poster of Humulin-R right at the front of the pharmacy, and it even has the price for a 10ml vial. So, quit worrying, and just go pick it up like your picking up your prescription. And even throw in a little, "Hey, i actually need a few more syringes....blah blah blah." You wont have any problems. Meanone. Just walk up and ask for it. I'm 6ft3" 280lbs and have only been questioned once. Just gave them the story that my aunt was in from out of town and the airport smashed her insulin while handling. He didn't think twice. If it's that big of deal just go to hocks.com or some other online pharmacist. Just costs five bucks extra for mailing. I'd rather just walk in and buy it. Just my preference. ------------------ | ||

I've always thought it was funny since then, I'm sur eyou bigger guys know what I'm talking about, the intimidation factor we sometimes have. Okay, I'm gunna pick up my balls tonight and go to Walgreens and see if they will be sweet or dicks, lol. | ||

sorry guys i misread the title to the post didn't pay attention to the humalog part....anyway i don't think most pharmacists know of the use of insulin in bodybuilding...Just to make all of you jelous ...the super market across the street fromme has it in the pharmacy in a little refridgerator on the counter...pharmacy closes at 9:00 the store is open 24/7 I just wait until after hour if I don't want to deal with a pharmasist...other wise i go to Albertsons...No questions asked there | ||

I can get Humalog from a friend who is a Diabetic, If it is not illegal maybe I can help out. |
