Everytime I bench, my right shoulder will get extremely sore. A buddy said that it is my rotater cuff, anybody else have a problem like this?

Yup, sounds like a rotator cuff issue. I do external rotations on a regular basis. My shoulder has not hurt in almost a year.

Usually when I bench, I go down slow, controlling the weight, and then press quickly when I touch my chest(not bouncing). A guy at the gym suggested that I don't touch my chest, but only go so that my arms are parallel because anything further than that puts to much strain on the cartildge in your shoulders. The guy is old enough to be my grandpa, do you think he knows what he's talking about.

i have the same problem im goin to a physical therapist right now for it and that sounds like something he told me. Something about you wont be able to lift as much but wont put strain on the shoulders.
