I keep on reading posts from newbies and teenagers who are/considering synthol site injections. It is bad enough that so many idiots take steroids without the proper training, nutrition, maturity, knowledge and rest. These people realise that pros use the stuff and really believe it will turn them into a pro. These pros generally have physiques of around 300lb and use it as a 'finishing touch' but guys weighing less than my coat are experimenting with it. I really believe that we are gonna see some seriously f*cked up people from this stuff and its MISSUSE will bring further bad press on our sport.     | ||

Did I mention low post counts? IMO a newbie is someone who has little knowledge of bodybuilding, which is usually quite evident in the way that someone structures their posts. I am not saying that synthol is bad or that it doesn't have it's place, in fact I may use some in my calves a bis before my competition in November. What I am saying is that these new people seem to think it is the be all and end all. | ||

<peace> Most everyone started bodybuilding with a single goal. To get bigger, period. So it's only understandable that some people will use synthol. Most of us started using gear to "get big quick", and so the demographic for synthol users is far greater in our community than in the natural BBers. Why is this so hard for people to understand? | ||

Sorry maybe i took the post a little personally. I just put up a synthol post yesterday. I did do searches and found both positive and negative results. I'm not looking for a quick fix for anything, but if it is effective, relatively safe, then I'd like to try it. wHeLiXw | ||

True enough but the chances of me accidentally hitting one using my glutes or thigh is slim to none. However my bi, tri, calf or anywhere else synthol is used kind of ups the ante so to speak. Plus you don't read about near death steroid injections in flex & musclemag or hear them condemned by all the olympia contenders everyday like synthol. I just think there's a sanity check required here. If your a serious competitor and that extra 1/2 inch on your bi's is gonna be a title & $10,000 check sure, but for the average joe walking into and out of the gym like I do why on earth would you use the stuff? | ||

I'm with Shmucko on this one. I don't think that sythol gives a very desireable apearance to muscles, but that's my opinion. Never tried it, never will. | ||

Personally I wouldn' t like to have 10 c.c's+ of oil floating around each of my muscles. But, everybody is entitled to make their own decisions. But I have to say, that why take something so inherently dangerous to inject if you're not going to get any financial reward from it. Godspeed | ||

I'd like to know more on this myself. How much more dangerous is it? What about the synthol versions with added sylica? Is it safe to have silica floating around in our bodies? One brand advertises it's Pump'n'pose as having a 'healthy' amount of silica added. What about infections etc? | ||

Dont believe everything you read in the mags-Synthol is something that every pro uses (thats every)including the guy that was supp. rushed to the hospital--he will still use it----Its propagada at its greatest--- | ||

Everyone keeps saying that we have yet to see the bad effects that will come from synthol use, but it has been around for over a decade and we have yet to hear of any of the pros or other users having critical consequences. Other sides of it are already known, but those will only occur if it is used incorrectly. I don't doubt that we know everything yet, but I don't think that synthol is as dangerous as a lot of people think. We underestimate the human body; it can handle a lot more than we think. | ||
