The only ones I know of that are proven are: 1. Cytadren(aminogluthemide) 2. RU-486(mifepristone) Godspeed

Orimeten is a brand of Cytadren, also known as aminoglutethimid. In medicine it is used 4 breast cancer and Cushings Syndrome. If u wish to try it,u should use it on a2 day on 2day off pattern.Dosage..no more than 250mgs a day(1 tab). This drug can cause some side effects and aches and pains in the joints. To avoid a cortisol rebound, taper the dosage at the end of your cycle. ------------------

Aminoglutethimide, u can find it in Orimeten and Cytadren, have a strong cortisol suppression capacity and is also a strong anti estrogen (like Proviron and Arimidex), some Bodybuilder call it the "magic drug" for his strong effect (very hard and vascular muscle). U can find it in 250 mg tabs and the used doses are 1 to 2 tabs a day (250/500 mgs EOD). Is not a simple and safe drug to use so learn all u can before jump on it.

If you try to block cortisol your body will just produce more to compensate. In my opinion cortisol blockers are a waste. [This message has been edited by DieHuge (edited March 01, 2001).]

Tell that to people with Cushings Syndrome... I'm sure they'll agree <sarcasm> Godspeed

I read an article years ago on cortisol blockers and it simply said that if you try to block cortisol your body will try to reach equilibrium and produce more.

Cortisol is a very powerful hormone, if you try to block, it will just release more. The feedback mechanism in the Hypothalamus is very sensitive to change. Also, phsyiological doses of corisol don't waste away that much muscle at all, it is only when you administer large doses (pharmacological doses) that muscle is broken down. Personally, I don't know why people care that much about it at all! [This message has been edited by biopsychfitness (edited March 01, 2001).]

You can get Phosphatydlserine at GNC, but it is to aminogluthemide as tribulus is to clomid. It's weak, but I don't like messin with aminogluthemide. Bad sides can come. RU-486 has a strong anti-catabolic effect, too, and it blocks progesterone. |
