I'm currently in a law class and my topic is anabolic steroids. I would appreciate any links or info on the legal status of steroids(especially in Canada) back in the 80's and today, when they were banned, and how docs used to prescribe them. And any info on all the countries that have not banned steroids. This is my topic statement: "How is the government's drug legislation affecting people's perception of drugs, when extremely dangerous drugs such as alcohol and tobacco are legal, while other substances such as anabolic steroids and cannabis are deemed more dangerous because of their illegality?" Any help and info would be appreciated.

You might try www.canada.justice.gc.ca or any canadian university that as a website and are giving law classes e.g. university of montreal (french/don't know if available in english though)www.droit.umontreal.ca/doc/csc.scc you might do somes research with differents universities such as McGill University..etc..good luck...

Thanks for the link, I was looking for that one. Could any of the older guys please give me some info on the legal status of roids in the 80's before they were banned and how scripts were given. All the info I seem to find is very vague.

Check out Rick Collins website. He's a lawyer who handles anabolic bust cases. I don't know the exact website address, but go to www.mesomorphosis.com and check in the articles section. There are a few articles by him that are good, and at the end is a link to his website that has a wealth of info on the legalities of gear in the US and England, not sure about Canada, but maybe. Hope this helps. later.

Good topic. I did a speech on steroids last year, and I don't think anyone thought anything of it other than personal opinion. They might suspect, but who cares? That's not probable cause.

His website is www.steroidlaw.com. I know enough about legality in the us, and a little in canada. What I really can't seem to get is info on the good old days of bb, when roids weren't a big deal to people.

As long as I keep my info pretty general, I should be ok. I'll talk a little about half lives, but nothing like stacking and identifying fakes. The beauty about this subject is that you can say anything and no one can really reply and argue with you. |
