Why & did you lose muscle? How many lbs did you lose per week/overall?

Wow,2 hours per day of cardio! That seems like alot!I would think you would lose alot of muscle along w/ the fat.I never do more than 20 minutes first thing in the morning and another 20 after I train.I guess it depends how out of shape u get in between contests.I prefer keep my bf% under control in the offseason so I don't have to kill myself before a show.I really think that any more than an hour per day of cardio is overkill and will eat muscle tissue. ------------------

I did 2 separate 1 hour sessions preparing for my last show (pics on JohnnyO's site, too) but I WAS NOT ON GEAR at the time, so I did lose a lot of muscle... I think if you're on gear, and you're eating enough protein, you can do as much as you feel comfortable doing as long as you watch your muscle/fat ratio carefully! ------------------

If i did two hours a day I would look like this: | I am always pretty lean, so I do at most 30 mins a day pre-contest. I can just look at a treadmill and lose body fat. Add some clen and a moderate diet and presto. IMHO, I think some guys are too obssessed with getting "shredded" and just look too drawn and stringy and have lost much of their size and would look better a little thicker, even if not at ultra low body fat. It is a balancing act, though.

Jay, I tend to agree. I don't think you really need to be "shredded" if don't plan on entering a competition. -TG
