I totally agree with you. You will always have muscle memory. I lifted stright for 3 years and quit for almost 6-7 months. I got back in the gym and in like 1 month was looking and feeling better then ever. And I did it again, took 4 months off (just keep getting burned out) and hit it agian like 2 months ago and same thing. Just got to live it... With juice and hard work, you will be better than ever.

I know its real for myself. I am still recovering from back surgery, and I was unable to work out for 7-8mon. I just started up again, and i'm getting stronger every day.

i felt fishy about the idea of muscle memory too,i thought it was just a motivitation thing they told u to hide the truth, but now i belive it,i quit working from the end of may-end of september ,4 months, then when i got back in the gym especially the first 6 weeks even up to 8 weeks i felt i was getting no where,i could barely do a normal workout, i would die out so quick ,i had no rhyhtem or nothing, well anyway to make a long story short,i gained back aprrox all my strength and size in approx 4 months, one thing that is different though,is that i use to be able to do 10 reps my second set of bench now i only do 8 or 9,my strengh-endurance is still not where it use to be at least with bench, behind the neck press i am repping at 5-10 lbs less, and been stuck at this ,where if i wouldnt have quit i think i would have been 20-30lbs more than where i am now at least because i was making good gains in that area,i think others muscle gruops were strenghing too when i quit,it sucks the first month or two it will be really un motivational and u might feel embarresed when your at the gym but then by 3-4 months u should start feeling it all coming back ,this is depending how long u took off and your genetics ,i took 4 months off ,maybe if u took more or less it may vary
