WHATS UP GUYS, I JUST STARTED DIETING FOR SUMMER.(12 WEEKS OUT) I AM RUNNING AROUND 1800 CAL/DAY ONLY ABOUT 35G CARBS FOR 3 DAYS THEN 1 CARB UP DAY. I AM SICK NOW HOWEVER(BRONCHITIS) AND HAVE BEEN OUT OF THE GYM FOR ABOUT 5 DAYS ALREADY. SHOULD I STICK STRICTLY TO THE DIET OR SHOULD I CHEAT A LITTLE BIT TO MAINTAIN STRENGTH AND SIZE? aLSO ANY TIPS ON MAINTAINING SIZE WHILE DIETING WOULD BE GREATLY APPECIATED. i CURRENTLY HAVE 160 CLEN TO UCE ,THAT SHOULD MAINTAIN ALOT OF IT ,RIGHT. ANY ADVSE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANX | ||

yes cheat a little beat, eat as much as you can for now....mantaining muscle mass is far more important...then you can continue cutting up. | ||

I'm in the same boat dude, I went all maniac in the gymn the past couple of weeks after coming off a hard couple of months beforehand with no rest in between (doh) and now I feel well overtrained and have done my shoulder in. I was wondering what I eat while I lay off for a week or so myself. Guess the motto is, after a few months, have a week off or so to get rid of niggling injuries from the past month eh. Cheers | ||

If you are completely wiped from your bronchitis then take it easy for a spell and keep your strength / muscle mass up. For maintaining muscle mass while losing fat I prefer ketogenic diets similar to BodyOpus. I have dieted both through bronchitis and the flu and felt like complete shit but did not lose any additional lean mass so I guess it's up to you and how your body is likely to act. |
