I think and think and think and finally decide not to go. Then about 20 minutes to closing I decide to go. Then I stay home frustrated. IP: Logged |

I work out four days/week and occasionally will miss one during the week, but end up making it up on the weekend. Sometimes things happen................like staying out too late the night before. And I always feel guilty until I do make it up. deltman IP: Logged |

If I miss a day, its only because I was way to sick to go in or had something that was much to important and could not miss. Other than that, I never miss for> staying out late, not feeling like going today, staying home with my girl, or any shit like that. Training is my life and I don't take it lightly! If I miss a day, I think to my self "that was one day I could have been closer to my goal." ------------------ IP: Logged |

I hate it too, but every now and then I take an unscheduled rest day because my body is telling me to rest. Gotta know your body. Matt IP: Logged |

listen to your body, I work out 6x a week, so I realize I will miss a day sometime, I just try and make it up, ie-if I miss thighs I will through them in some with hams and calves, or hit them on what was supposed to be my off day..but I hate missing the gym... big-guy IP: Logged |

According to Ayn Rand,I mean Mike Mentzer, you only need to train 30 seconds once a month to achieve max muscle gains.Look at all the Mentzer disciples winning all the shows. IP: Logged |

I love it when I miss a day at the gym. Sounds crazy huh? Well I manage a gym for a couple of owners who want nothing but fat deconditioned people working out there. They told me "We don't want any serious bodybuilders here, they are too intimidating." Then they had the nerve to tell me when to workout and between all my sets I have to walk around and shake memebrs hands and show them what they are doing wrong. Half the people don't even want to know what they are doing wrong, they are just there to talk. I have been training for 15 years non-stop and have never seen a gym like this. They even had the nerve to tell me I am too big and need to lose some muscle mass if I want to keep my job(250lbs 16% right now) I know my bodyfat is a little high.) FUCK THAT! To top it all off I have to come in at 3:00am to unfuck everything like the contracts because they are to cheap to hire a book keeper! Then they want me to stay here all day until 7:00pm, plus work 14 days straight! I have been with them for two years building this place now we have been open for 4 months and they think they know it all. Moral of the story --- don't go into a gym business with owners who have never worked out in their entire life. I QUIT! Thanks for letting me vent guys! IP: Logged |

If I am due to train and can't make it I am annoyed. If it is a due REST day then I am glad of the rest. If I miss Monday then for some reason all of the following workouts that week lack intensity. Probaly it's in my head but it seems by body has to be kickstarted on a Monday like this after the weekend. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I am pretty new to all this, but I cancelled vacation so I wouldnt mess up my schedule or leave my partner in a lurch..all I can do is strive to keep intensity..

Missing a day in the gym ruins my WHOLE day. I feel like I forgot something and keep going over it in my head. Good thing my gym is 24 hours. I hate not getting a good workout in though. Platinum IP: Logged |

Why is this screen so large on this post? In comment to someone who said they dont like the BB image at the gym- i was in Germany some years back and was actually told i couldnt join the gym because i was obviously to big and a BB and that it would make other patrons uncomfortable! I told the bastard i worked for a local television station and was doing a report on area gyms and their general environment and accessability. (btw-i speak German) . My girlfriend was with me and confirmed the statement and gave a real local station in perfect timeing- i loved the look on the asses face! we just walked out with the appropriate looks on our faces!
