visual inspection reveals about a 3 inch area of pink skin about an inch under each injection site. the skin itches and there is some knotting in the sites. these are injections number 7 and 8 in the series with all previous injections causing no problems.

wednesday night i begin taking amoxylcillin several times that evening and throughout the next few days.

the itching is gone and the redness greatly reduced at mondays site and tuesdays site is still a little red.

at this point i am in a holding pattern. the injection sites are still sore. i have put off the doc for the time being. i may go tonight to get this checked, although i think it is resolving on its own.

i have a business trip this weekend and i couldnt afford to have my ass hacked open when i will be in a plane off and on

to all of you who have had this type of scare please post it in this thread as well as any medical care or procedures you may have had related to this. if anyone has gone to the doc for this, what did you tell him?

did you tell them what caused the infection or what you injected?

id prefer not to say or tell them what it was for a multitude of reasons.
