Hey guys, I read some negetive stuff on Bill pHilips on the board a couple days ago. Is he really a con man? I read his supplement review a while back. If anyone has reliable info on the guy that he is a scammer, let me know. I can pass it on to guys at the gym. IP: Logged |

Hmmm...if you owned a company wouldn't you hype all your products too? I wouldn't consider him a con man, just a guy who believes, even if its blindly, in his own products. IP: Logged |

Bill Phillips is a BUSINESSMAN. That is to say, he makes a living printing that Mag. He also is connected to the supplement market. He makes money selling advertising space. Trust him that much. SALESMAN ------------------ IP: Logged |

EAS has good products and his workout routines are very good. His diet and exercise strategies do work, I say that from first hand experience but you can do the same thing without spending $200 month on eas supplements. However I think that all supplements are overpriced fior what they do. But he looks good and is (supposedly) all "natural" so hes doing something right. BOYYAHHHH IP: Logged |

bill phillips is anything but "all natural" he has taken gear and most likely still does. He is an excellent salesman- the problem that most people, including myself, have with him is that he "betrayed" the ideals that he set forth in mm2k in order to make more profit- ei he sold out. I dont think he is evil or anything, I just find his new rhetoric and preaching about the evils of steroids a bit too irritating, and of course coming from him, hypocritical. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Bill Phillips is not all natural he openly admits to roid use in his earlier days. What he says is he only uses supplements now. which i believe is also BS. I do like his advice on dieting, training and mindset. I admit to falling for the trap of his Body for life challenge. That was a scam BUT it got me started in weight training and body building. So it was actually a good thing. I also was spending $200 a month on supplements to look as good as the "winners" did. However most of the winners failed a polygraph test when asked about roid use. So in summary I no longer use EAS supplements (or hardly any other, for that matter) except maybe come creatine, xenedrine, and protein drinks. Anyway what was the question I forget... lol attitude is everything!! IP: Logged |

As stated above , the guy owns a very profitable bussiness. Of course he is going to say just about anything to make money, the nature of the game. I have a problem with him acting like a saint. His mag used to be a great source of steroid information, he went against the grain of the leading mags with controversial issues and info. This approach led to huge sales and the mag was off and running. Then all of a sudden he went " natural" and the mag went homo. On a bussiness level, it worked......but what a little weiner he turned out to actually be !! ------------------ IP: Logged |

He is a great buisness man. He sells a fair product but, it's cheaper for most to use gear and get better results. It's all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ IP: Logged |

I agree w/ Mac. He sold out. A few years ago you could find a good AS article that was honest in MM. Now it's all his supplements. IP: Logged |

I refuse to use his products. I don't think he's a sell-out, because that would imply that he had some integrity to begin with. I hate the hyped up marketing style that he and James Bradshaw pioneered. I hate his bogus motivational philosophy. The only magazine I find more reprehensible than MM is Pump. IP: Logged |

I blame Phillips for allowing the Broncos to win two Superbowls in a row....Shannon Sharpe is a prime example of a Phillips "student." Must be the creatine that made him big ;-P IP: Logged |

I made great progress using his philosophy of diet, training, and supplementation. However, I was in terrible shape when I started and he does have some good information for the natural bodybuilder. However, his products are very highly priced and once you plateau, he really doesn't have anything to offer you at that point. That's where I'm at now, and the only answers he has is "motivational BS". So that's my take on Bill. deltman IP: Logged |

He has admitted that to this day he still does one or two cycles of Deca yearly. He claims it's good for the joints and promotes better development. No shit!!! His brother is pretty jacked too. I don't think it's from his overpriced supps!! IP: Logged |

About a year ago I met a bodybuilder that used to work for him. He had worked for EAS since the introduction of the company. He said that he and Bill were close friends. So, I really surprised me when he said that Bill Phillips was a liar. He said that Bill was a marketing genius and that all of his products were marketing scams. He said that andro cant be timed released like Andro-6 is because something about the concentration of precursors in your body or something. I didnt really understand it, but he went on for about 30 minutes about the illegitimacy of his products. He said all Bill is out to do is make money, simple as that. Ever since then I have refused to buy EAS products. You can get superior products for half the price. And they have yet come out with effervescent creatine, and I dont care how much he can play it off, it works. And the stuff is about 100 times more effective. IP: Logged |
