Is what I hear lately at the gym when I run into people I haven't seen in a while.

Although it is nice to hear, I kinda get a little depressed, because I know there are so many other people that are so much bigger than me. I wanna get to those goals but I feel as though it just isn't happinin.

I do admit that I have gotton considerably bigger than I was, but I still want to get a lot bigger. There will always be someone bigger and better no matter what, but I just wanna be that person for a while. Know what I mean. Just needed to vent....

Not to be mean but 185 is small in the bodybuilding world, but hey, If you look big at 185, then what will they say when you do get to 250. I remember when I was 185, I started at 145. Now I am 235, and I got news for you. You will never be happy with how big you get. You only get more satisfied, but not truely happy. I think I can hold a weight of 260-270, but I know when I get there I will be shooting for 280-290.

back in the days i did not even think i was big. BUT I WAS!! it is called reverse anorexia. youcan be 240lbs shredded and you will still think you are small. that's just how it is. it can get pretty serious, especially if you keep juicing to get bigger and bigger. when will it stop?

The reversed anorexia pops is talking about is called Body Dismorphia. A huge bodybuilder will lookin the mirror and see a 150lb weakling. We all want to be bigger than what we are.

I can relate. Even though I've gained 10 lbs in 2 months its not good enough. I try to go heavy on every set after warm ups. I also go by the mirror and not the scale.

To all those who posted a reply BUMP!!!!! Yeah you may see yourself small but we're all still growing. So what happens when we stop growing?(presuming we are not dead) Some will kill themselves, some will wind shooting like 10cc's of sus or some thing along those lines. I hope that day never comes like the ranger said "bleed iron". bump
Peace Out,
dan

Stop for a moment and smell the roses. Enjoy all your hard work and just imagine what people will say when you are 250lbs. Then go back and hit the weights harder. It that what I have "Body Dismorphia" I now know what to call it. LOL!!!!!!!!!! cjac1

I agree with ya 100% ruffy...when you notice a small gain be happy as hell with the small gains...sure there will always be someone bigger...ALWAYS...i believe this is where alot of guys defeat themselves by concentrating on being bigger than the next man...I use the next man as a motivational kick to be the best i can be on that day...I'm a competitve bodybuilder...only have done about 6 shows....got 2 big ones coming up in 4 and 5 weeks goin in as a lightheavy"198"...guess what i'm sayin is be patient and the goods will come....awesome and informative board.....I SAY THE BEST!

When you reach 250, you won't be satisfy. Its an endless chase. I speak from experience. When I was 145 lbs, I wanted to be 200lbs. Now I am 205 and I want just a little bit more. Another 100lbs!

Yes, I have the same problem. I actually think it's a burden. I am not a very big guy, but many think I'm nowhere near small. I think I'm scrawny as shit. What do you guys think? I'm 5'5", very small bone frame, 175 lbs, 12% bf, and never juiced. I want to be 225 but have this feeling that when I get there I'll still feel small and scrawny. Oh well

Although I am not huge, YET! I will be! I am happy with the gains I have recieved so far. After reading the responses here I'm happy to know that There are others in my shoes or at least has been there.

Just to share... I was at my gym last night and there is this ego maniac that goes there. Naturally just after my warm up I was about to go to the squat rack to do shrugs and wouldn't ya know ego man just comes waltzing in and takes the squat rack.

I know I can use other equiptment, but I had it all set up in my head how I was goin to do my routine. What's worse is that he put the plates on the bar then walks away and talks to some kid for about 10 min. I got so pissed, I ended up walking up to him and said yo' are you gonna work out or just talk all night. Others are waiting to get in there bro!

Needless to say he cut his conversation and did his workout. From that point on he stared at me the rest of the night checkin out my form and style. I've heard him brag about how he has been in a couple competitions and that he was gonna be in one soon. Not for nothing, but because I was wearing a tank he decided he would take off his sweatshirt, in a sense to show me up, but... When he did, he had the biggest spare tire around his waist and he was totally undefined. To put it bluntly, I know that if there were a competition that night (despite me being a bit smaller) I would have blown him away!

I may not have the size as of yet, but I am (now) damn proud of the way I look. I am muscular and completely CUT! You can see the definition and cut of every muscle! So with all you guys have said, I am happy with my accomplishments so far and it's great to share it with those that appreciate it! I am proud but I'm never conceded.

Thanx for letting me vent!
