Most data I have read about muscle growth has some info on intense stretching in between sets to stretch the "bag" or girdle that surrounds your muscles. This is supposed to make your muscles longer, or bigger in effect. Should a person do this while on a cycle or not? Any feedback would be appreciated. deltman IP: Logged |

Hey dude, its always good to stretch before, during, and after. That always helps the muscles and prevents injuries. IP: Logged |

Yes deltman, you are on to something. A lot of the top strength trainers recommend there athletes do this while on juice and especially off. There is a good theory behind it I wish I could remember were I saw it from maybe I'll come across it again. IP: Logged |

The artilces are from an old MuscleMag and MM2k. It basically explains the stretching of the fascia (similar to the transparent layer/fatty layer between the breast meat and the skin on a chicken). Imagine the fascia as a kind of 'stretchable skin', under the top layer of skin, on top of your muscles. One reason why it is easier to grow after you come off a cycle and go back on, is because the muscle stretches the fascia when you are bulked up, which makes it easier to grow back to your old size when you were on gear, due to the lack of fascial restriction now that it has been stretched. I make sure to EXTREME strech as much as possible BEFORE, ESPECIALLY BETWEEN (most critical) and after sets... I feel it has made a world of difference. Plus the post-traumatic trauma to your muscles the next day REALLY kicks in, letting you know you did good. Fascial stretching cannot alter the attachment points of your muscle.. so... if you have a short bicep head, you will always have that, but you can always make it larger and higher alot faster with fascial stretching. Hope this helps..... IP: Logged |

Thanks ydnarb9 and Whammo, I think it really does make a difference as I have utilized extreme stretching naturally and feel that it has made a big difference in my physique. Especially in between sets when your muscles are full of blood with a good "pump". I'm really going to hit it when I start my first cycle, which should be in the next few weeks. Thanks again. deltman IP: Logged |
