eye of round is the leanest.
Beef is graded in US according to the marbling, ie fat content, I think it goes something like B,Good,Choice and Prime.
B goes to prisons, Good is in schools, Choice is in grocery stores and Prime is ususally purchased by high end restaurants and grocery stores.
Generally grass fed beef, if you can find it is gonna be lower in fat, it'll have yellowish fat and have a gamier flavor. Whereas cattle that have been through a feed lot and stand around for 30 days before slaughter and eat nothing but grain, are gonna be fatter.

As far as beef goes i try and stay away from the popular north american cows, if you can get beef from Highland Cattle, the ones with tons of hair, it's incredible, very high in protein low in fat and the taste is incredible, where i live i'm lucky to have several Highland farms close enough to me. It's cheap and great beef.

Stick with any meat that has the words "loin" or "round" in them. Also there is a "Maverick" brand from Publix Supermarkets that is low fat and good, ground also.
I LOVE RED MEAT!

2Thick you love your tuna don't ya man...HAHA...I understand...I eat about 3 cans a day. That's not 5 but I can get relly sick of it. You know whats good with it? Fat free ranch dressing makes it taste really good. I also mix 5 oz tuna with 1 cup of fat free cottage cheese....its killa man. only 14 carbs and about 59 protein in that little meal.

Diana,

That doesn't sound too bad. I'll have to try it tonight.

BTW, what is this "cotage cheese" you keep talking about...ha!
