Have any of you seen any noticeable gains while supplementing with extra protein? If so, what brands are good? I've heard a lot about protein factory's brands, are they good? Thanks

Protein supplementation is a must, unless you can stomach a LOT of food. I use protein factory and am a happy customer. Good prices, high quality.

Protein is a must. Lots of it. I supplement three of my eight meals a day.

Protein supplementation is necessary to achieve any type of strength or mass gains. It has been proved that high-quality protein is important for supporting optimal cell function and boosting anabolic drive. At least 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight is needed. Some people say that at least 2 grams per bodyweight is needed, however, i noticed fine gains with about 1.5. The important thing to know when supplementing protein is what kind to use. Whey is hands down superior to others such as egg white, chicken, or calcium caseinate. It has the highest biological value (BV) which leads to greater nitrogen retention and muscle protein synthesis. Obviously, these are the things everybody needs to build muscle.

I've heard that whey and casein are best when they are together, is that true? Also, do you recommend that I get some stuff from the protein factory or somewhere else?

Thanks

Don't forget about adding l-glutamine to the protein powder.

Yes, I see the results.

okay so whey and casein are good and it's probably beneficial to add l-glutamine to that formula.

but i'm still having problems with deciding how to make a shake with proteinfactory.com.

i have a huge tub of glutamine already so i'll just take that with the night formula that they already have. but i need another shake that'll get me the following:

1000 calories a day
150g of protien a day
150g of carbohydrates a day(too much??)
and of course low fat.

do any of you bro's got any ideas of what i can do??

ANY HELP WOULD BE NICE!!

thanks
