Please bare with me why I try to explain this. I am trying to convert units(insulin) into international units(I.U.) I have two kinds of gh The first is the Nutropin AQ by genetech the premixed and the second is the Protropin also by genetech in powder form. Okay here is my problem, the nutropin AQ comes in one 10 mg (2 ml) vial which is 30 i.u.s The Protropin comes in a mixture which is 10 mg per (10 ml) vial which is also 30 i.u.s So one bottle (the nutropin) is 2ml/2cc = 30 i.u. The other(the Protropin) is 10ml/10cc =30 i.u. I need to convert the i.u. into regular units This is what I did. 100 units (insulin)=1 cc so the 2 cc bottle of nutropin is equal to 200 insulin units,I divided that into the 30 i.u. that made up the 2 cc bottle which came out to 6.66 so would it be correct to say that one i.u. of the nutropin is equal to basically 7 insulin units. And with the Protropin 10 cc equal to 30 i.u. so 1000 regular units divided into 30 i.u is 33.33 insulin units. I really need help on this, maybe I'm making it harder than it really is but I need to be sure before I go putting gh into my body I don't want to screw this up.I will be taking two i.u in the morning and two i.u. at night. I would appriciate your guys advice.
thank you
Rooster

Bro I have no clue what your trying to figure out... but see if this little equation helps you out... 1cc = 3iu's, 1ml = 1cc, I dont know how the first bottle of GH which you said is 2ml is equal to 30iu's. It should only be 6iu's... unless you mix it with 8mls to equal 10ml which would equal 30iu's. And here one for you... How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

1cc=1ml ok, with you so far but 1cc=3iu ??
does that mean that one should inject say 4iu
insulin or over 1cc=1ml ?? quick and final insulin cycle!!

HUH ? What you have are both 10 mg vials, there is no mg per ml conversion. 1 mg equals 2.7 IU. YOu have 27 iu's of nutropin and 27 iu's of protropin. I don't know where the 30 came from.

Sorry I could'nt explain a little more clear. All I'm trying to figure out how can I find out how much a i.u. is. Because I have two different kinds of gh one is a two cc bottle and the other is a 10 cc bottle but they both equal 30 i.u.(It says right on the bottle)So how do I know the amount to put in the syringe, if I want 2 i.u. at a time
Sorry to confuse you

Thanks BPP I think I'm starting to get somewhere, so if 1 mg is equal to 2.7 iu and I'm wanting to withdraw the gh into a insulin syringe but since a insulin unit is different than a i.u. how do I know how many insulin units to withdraw to equal 2 i.u. Thanks

There is no such thing as an 'insulin-unit.' You made it up.

I had the same question, so don't panic. In one vial you have the powder 27ius(gh) and the other vial you have x amount of the diluent. No matter whether you put 1cc in or 3cc in you still only have 27ius of gh. Now this is just an example; if you wanted to take 3ius a day simply put 3ccs of diluent into the powder (gh) vial, stir gently and wait for all to dissolve at the bottom. Now simple math 27 divided by 3 = 9. So you have 9 days worth of gh and just inj. 1/3cc in the morning and 1/3cc in the evening. I hope this helps, if you have more questions just e-mail me.
