man, i got the shit scared out of me doing that in laredo. i parked my truck on the texas side, walked across and got what i wanted from the two vets walking distance in downtown. then i came back in a cab and paid the driver 20.00 to let me stash it under his seat. this would have worked fine.....but!!!.....i came back across empty handed , so i looked suspicious. they pulled me and my bud out of the car, questioned us and had a dog sniff the car. luckily they did not find my stash or i would have been in some deep shit. you should be okay doing it this way if you act like a tourist. buy some mexican souvineer crap, tequila, cigs...anything. just dont come back empty handed. and, if your big musclewise, try to dress like your normal or fat. your still taking a HUGE risk of getting in serious trouble. good luck

I always come back at midnight with all the drunks. They just laugh and send everyone along. I cross at TJ. When I went to Laredo several years ago they took me into a back room and serched me for about 20 minutes. I didn't have anything that time. It was during the day time that time.

According to law if you have a prescription from the doctor saying that you need the stuff you can bring like 3 months worth (or a supply for one person) across no problem. You usually have to state that you will not sell the stuff to anyone as well.

Sometimes people just claim that they are diabetic and fill the insulin bottles with whatever they want.

I guess I was reading some out dated information about the law. I'm pretty sure that those rules applied but none the less the insulin trick can still work regardless of the law.
