I just injected into my left glute and it was a very painful injection. I aspirated (although I don't pull back very far, just until I see a bubble or something) and saw no blood. I injected slowly, too. But it even hurt to pull the pin out and when I did I had a shooter -- all down my leg. I hope I just went through a vein.

My question is if I did inject into a vein can you feel it? Do you get lightheaded or dizzy or anything. Is there any way to tell?

Oh, my ass is sore.

I don't think that you injected into a vein but if you did I can tell you that all that oil is not going to do any good for your heart. What it sounds like you did was pierce a nerve. In your glute you have the sciatic nerve, the largest nerve in the body and it suplies most of your inervation to you lower body. Irritation of this would mostlikely explain the stinger down the leg, the brain can't tell where the pain is comming from all it knows is that the sciatic nerve is sending a signal, it's the same thing when people have a heart attack and get pain in their left arm. The sensory innervation for the heart is the same as for the arm, the brain gets a signal but can't determine where it is comming from so it tells you you hurt in both places. If it get's worse or you start to feel sick, go see a doctor and tell them exactly what happened, and don't forget doctor patient confidentiality. Post tommorow so that we all know your still alive.
good luck

Rocko..
How much do you have to pull back on the needle to see any blood. If there is no blood what will the needle fill with? Air, Water? or will the plunger not move?
Any info would be greatfull. Can you really Die if you hit a vein?

Sorry, you misunderstood. I injected in my upper outer quadrant, hopefully away from the sciatic. What I meant by shooter was the blood that came out after I withdrew the needle. I did not have any pain sensations in my leg.

I'll be here tomorrow. But I'm sure I'll be sore. I'm more worried that I would have waisted the juice at this point.

sorry, my mistake, I thought you ment a burning sensation down your leg, my illiterate fault. I know that when I shoot my parter with sus in the arm, a few times he has had a stream of blood come out so fast that it reaches his finger tip before I can get a gauze on it, most likely just due to a pierced vein.
transparent as far as pulling back, I will usually pull on the plunger untill it moves about 1/4 inch back, this causes any bubbles in the syringe to expand, look closley because the bubbles are fairly small but any air in the juice will expand. If the tip is sitting in a vessel you will get very dark almost black liquid. This is venous blood, it is dark because it is not oxegenated, when O2 binds to hemoglobin that's what causes the red colour. Pull out the needel and try to rmove the blood, make sure it is all out and try again, or if you got the cash scrap the pin and go again, but I doubt anyone can afford that, if not for the expense but the prinicipal of wasting good juice.

What gauge pin did you use? I got shot up with 20g last week and yesterday and my ass kept bleeding. Thank god I have some 23g now man...what a difference.

I used a 22g 1 1/2" pin. It hurt right from the initial piercing of the skin. I have 23g 1" pins also, but the only time I used one I hit a vein for sure (blood in syringe upon aspiration, moved to 22g @ different site). This was only my 7th injection and I have seen blood on probably 4 of them. It seems the more painful the injection the more blood I see.

I thought I'd wake up this morning with a really sore ass. But just the opposite. I hardly feel much pain at all. Weird. I don't know what this means.
