I was scoring my amps with a hacksaw getting them ready, and I broke one open and dont need to take it for another 4 days....... Can I load it into a syringe and leave it there for a few days and it will be ok....do I need to refriderate it or anything....or do I have to inject it now...? thanks IP: Logged |

I don't know... meaning that I'm not qualified to say yes or no this definitely will work or not... ...but.... Don't refridgerate the gear for 4 days, that might be bad for it. Couple possibilities are putting it in the syringe like you said and then clean oua tupperwear or something to keep it in so nobody sneezing on it. You can store it without any problems, but make sure you keep it as sterile as possible. You should only score one side of the amp for best results. Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

Ok, well I loaded it into a syringe and left the needle attached and wiped the needle with an alcohol swab and put the cover back over the needle....I'm planning on leaving it in my medicine cabinet for 3 days...(locked up) If anyone sees anything wrong with me doing it this way, please let me know.... okay just promise me you won't inject with that same needle you stored it with as your needle now has been exposed and is not sterile enough to be used for injecion. also a medium sized file is much more effective and safe to score your amps for opening. Don't freak out this kind of shit happens us all once in a while. IP: Logged |

I've gotta admit, when darts were running low, I've re-used them over and over.....I ran alcohol through them and into the syringe and sometimes stored them with some alcohol, which gives a bit of a burn when injecting....some local pros were doing this also, so maybe I got some bad info, but I never did have any problems..... Anyone else ever re-use their darts ? Gee, I hope I'm not the only dumbass doing it.... IP: Logged |

Hey bro I use an old metal can opener, the kind that has a handle you turn. There is a hole on each arm of the turning apparatus...I put the end of the ampule in the hole and just pop it open like a beer bottle. Works great. I know its a little late for that amp but just thought I would share my little trick. IP: Logged |

You should use a needle file to score the amps. Using a hacksaw is akin to brain surgery with a steak knife. Just kidding. Try a needle file (you can get them at any hobby shop, I like the 3-sided ones). ------------------ IP: Logged |

My wife is a nurse and says all ampules are pre scored, but doesn't know for sure about gear. ( and no I havn't done a cycle yet, still researching) anyway, hold the bottom with your left hand, take a alcohol swab wrap around the tip and grasp with your right hand and snap tip off toward you. Thats how they do it in the clinic. If i'm wrong about the pre scoring, sorry. IP: Logged |

I'm new to amp opening too. Cut my finger the first time I snapped the top off. I now use a dremel (you know, those rotary tools). Works great. You can score and snap or just cut it right off. ------------------ IP: Logged |

maybe i am new and just lucky but the way i have done it and was shown was to cover the tip with a washcloth and break off, this saves you from cutting off your fingers IP: Logged |

I used a towel on my first amp and crushed the whole damn thing to smithereens...talk about pissed.....BUT, I finally got ahold of the ampule place, and yes, they are kinda nibby, they wanted alot of info, and I gave it, and when I said I was interested in the openers, they said how many and I said just one, then silence, and so I said, well I have to test it, I dont think it will be any good, and they said....aaah, well, we'll send ya one for free, then our agent will call ya to see how you like it and then you can order in bulk....so I'm just gonna tell them it sucked, of course in a more formal manner...he he.... Then again, if any of you guys are interested in it, post it and maybe I will order a bunch and send them out to ya'all, its not illegal or anything....they cost around $5..... (they ask for your telephone number right off the bat, so ya either hang up, or give it) IP: Logged |

I often load up a whole cycle into syringes and store them in a cool dry place at room temp. I use an 18 g transfer needle and then put the 23 that came w/ the syringe back on for storage. It can be done so quickly that there should be no problem w/ sterility. I wrap a paper towel around the amp and snap it by hand. Some amps snap better than others. Omna snaps very clean. thats what I'm definitely gonna do....with little kids running around the house, its often difficult to take those few minutes to gear up.....I'll pre-load my whole cycle and it'll make it so much easier....thanks-"the truth".... H-man IP: Logged |
