i live in east central ohio. i hear alot of talk about these shitty gyms and shit . i know what you me i used to go to one that only catered to spandex types . quit that after about 2 months. me and my old t ahirts and sweat pants didnt fit in. so i joined the gym i'm at now. let me tell you its awsome , its got everything you need to grow muscle. dumbbells to 125lbs (2 set of each) verything ,only a little bit of cardio shit. the owner is the chaiman of the NPC of west virginia.(i live on the boarder oF west virginia and ohio. so hes got it all. HERES THE BEST PART. i live 5 minutes away. and he gave me a key after a year of steady workin out . he saw that i was serious about it. also i work steady midnight shift. so on my days off ,and i cant sleep wotrh a fuck i get up and go to the gym at 3:00 in the morning .( GOT THE WHOLE FUCKING PLACE TO MY SELF) i warm up by setting everything i'm going to do for that workout up. and i put balls to the wall. crank the jams, scream, grunt what ever i want. its like having my own gym. I LOVE IT. never havr to wait on anyone for anything. i only go to just before failure so i dont usually need a spotter.( although i have let the plates hit the floor more than once. anyway the opened a WORLD GYM just 5 minutes the other way from my house , well i got a free 15 day pass in the mail so i thought i would try it ,and guess who was in there .? with all the flashy lights and colors . SPANDEX PEOPLE. i started laughing and WALKED OUT. sorry about the long post ,but iguess i dont have it as bad as i thought. if anyone ever in my area check me out later bros ------------------ IP: Logged |

Spandex types......yeah I know what you mean. Something that could help your workout though, for instance on chest. Do a few sets with the barbell to close to failure and then pick up some dumbells and do a triple drop set. You can go to failure with dumbells without killing yourself. It's the method I use as I train alone too. It will make a difference believe me. deltman IP: Logged |

Now that we are all talking about our gyms, i figger i'll talk about mine for a while. Mine is kinda weird, it has a butt-load of cardio equipment, but it also has db's up to 200. We used to have up to 250 but, who could press that much? 500 is damn impressive on the bar but for dumb bell presses? Any way, there is a section where they have all the good stuff, it's called the power pit, chalk and all. it's a kind of hardcore gym in the middle of a fitness center. i feel sooooo lucky. Lucky man. The only time I had a gym to myself was when i stayed at a resort timehsare in Florida. They had a decent little gym on site and I was the only one there. It was great. I hate going to my gym here and waiting for free machines...they just got new management and are having a $199/year special and the place is ALWAYS packed if I dont go before 3pm. IP: Logged |
