Hey man, you said you train legs heavy 3 times a week. In my opinion that is to much. Any more than twice a week for me and they stop blowin up. I guess if you want them to shrink, you could keep doing that Do you go all the wat down on squats?

I bet your not doing heavy squats. Heavy back squats and stiff legged dead lift are the best to develop the glutes. Try doing split squats also, they really burn.

I agree with VDevil about the possible over-training. Try doing heavy squats once a week instead of three times per week.

Bro the soreness means you tore your muscle up nice and now it's gonna grow back bigger.

Squat ass-to-the-ground with no knee wraps. If you can squat 3 times a week then you're either a genetic god,or your not really bustin' your ass hard.I'm sore at least 2 days after I squat and I squat once every 12 days.Thinking about it before then makes me wanna puke.
I hate squats the day before, but I'm in love with them from the second that workout is over.Squats are just a whole different animal all it's own

Right on E2!! I squat right to the floor too. Every tells me I'm nuts in the gym but I haven't had any knee problems yet and I'm 34.

i do add straight bar squats to my regement, but it seem that after when i get soreness its not in my glutes, more in my quads and lower back!
therefore i resort back to the incline squat machines that seem to target my glutes only!

Squats should be your foundation. However, BB step ups can pinpoint the glutes incredibly as well. Just make sure you have a right angle from your hip to your knee to your ankle. Possibly a little less (more than a right angle would place the load on your quads). Attempt to power of the front raised foot as opposed to jumping of the rear.

Mac is definately right on that one as well as E2 and some of the others.

1st don't over train

2nd Wide Stance places more emphasis into the glutes.

3rd Ass to the floor full squats

Combine all that and you'll get what your looking for.... For sure!

sore for two days? "Stimulate, don't annihilate"!! You don't have to kill the muscle to make it grow.
