hey fellas, DO u guys think vitamin C and E are worth taking? I know a lot about vitamins, but i never really notice anything when i take these two at high dosages. Anyone a true believer in these or what? also does anyone have any experience with acetabloan II, or any other ZMA product? Are these safe for an 18 year old? Thanks Tulk311 ------------------ IP: Logged |

Yes of course they are worth taking, what kind of a question is that?? You really need to do some research into your body chemistry.

When I was 17 I used the old muscletech stack of acetabolan/hydroxycut/creatine. I saw gains but I don't think it was from the supps. I wasted too much money on that junk. I was gonna grow anyway. As for the vits...well E2 put it best. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Yeah they are worth taking heres what i take on a average day. VitC: 3000 mg's 3x a day (9000mgs) I find this helps with the immune system a lot gives it a swift kick in the balls, and just for overall health. Plates IP: Logged |

QUOTE - "hey fellas, DO u guys think vitamin C and E are worth taking? I know a lot about vitamins" Alright man listen. This is an anabolic discussion board. And personally, I am really getting pissed at all you fucking newbies flaming E2...I mean WTF?? Mr. Vitamin expert...you know alot about vitamins but you ask if E and C are worth taking. Those are probably the most important vitamins you should be taking. A moderator advises you to do some research, which will help you in the long run and save you from getting flamed, and you come back with a smartass reply. The point of this little rant...DO SOME RESEARCH AND LEARN. Damn. ------------------ IP: Logged |

now now now....lets not get on tulk for his edginess. to say that one knows alot about vitamins means that it is a test to the mere mortals here on this board. So in response to your question..you need to take 7 Freds, and 2 barneys, 2X a day. take a dino and a wilma pre and post workout. One bambam before bed. HAHAHA. It is a bad idea to come off like a hard guy to the mods here. They help alot of people on the board daily. E2 did not come off arrogant, he was just being helpful. For someone to ask into the merits of vitamins (macronutrients neccessary to carry on life) well frankly, needs to go and hit the books. If I misread your original question, then my bad....but a simple search on mothernature.com or vitamins.com or netrition.com, or supplementdirect.com into vit.C and Vit. A will tell you exactly what they do for you. As for if you will feel anything different? I doubt it, mainly people notice energy increases with B vitamins. C is water soluble, meaning that taking large amounts will not harm you. E is fat soluble meaning that it is not eliminated from the body through urine. It is stored in fat for later use.. too large a dose can be harmful. ------------------ IP: Logged |

TULK...you twangmouth cat smack. E2 is one of the most knowledgable people here, and if you'd take his advice, you could learn a lot. Damn kid. Take a daily vit each day, along with extra of what you listed. Go to Wal-Mart and get yourself some Amino Fuel and some Glutamine. All that and you're set for ingestibles. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Is it true that there are no Betty vites in the Flintstone bottle? Seriously, Tulk, whether you believe it or not, E-2 was being helpful to you. He was suggesting that you start learning how to research and answer the simpler questions for yourself. This was something on which you could have done some basic research in the time it took you to post your question and your responses to the subsequent posts. Not a flame, just some constructive criticism. And yes, supplementary C and E are good. I'd say most of us here take them regularly. IP: Logged |

normally i would delete this flame fest however something needs to be said TULK311 did come off as putting himself forth as an expert, while asking a question E2 however, misread the question, the question was not whether to take C or E rather it was regarding the value of "high dosages" or megadosing. That being said I think that there were a lot of unnecesarry comments made both by TULK311 and by those who support E2, both sides were slightly excessive. to answer your question I beleive that mega-dosing has its place- especially when you are exposing you body to lots of oxidative stress- lifting, tanning, dieting, bulking, DNP, 17aa etc- in addition, mega-dosing of vitamin c has been shown, in some studies, to reduce the length of the common cold. I usuall take 3-4grams of C and 1200 iu's of E. not including whats in my two or three DUALTABS. to qoute Rodney King: ------------------ IP: Logged |

THANK YOU MACRO... The thing that is irritating as much as dumb or misworded posts is quick mouthed non-responses. It took just as many key strokes to flame the fire as it does to answer the question. I'm sure it gets really irritating to E2 to be around the board as much as he is and have to read the same ol' dumb questions gy newbies again and again. Unfornately, I think it will continue to happen. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Ok, Thank u Macro for your reply, now that is spoken like a true moderator! I apologize for my harseness but I relize I should have phrased the question differently, it was easy to misunderstand what i was trying to get across. Yes Macro is correct on what i was asking, it wasnt that i dont know my body chemistry. I take the vitamins, its just I never see anything from taking them at high dosages, and I dont need some "know it all" snapping at my inquiry. If everyone used search for there answers there would be no questions on the board! But hey whatever from now on ill be sure to write my questions more carefully and E2 shoudnt bother to look at my posts! Thank u to those who were understanding IP: Logged |
