Had gyno removed about five weeks ago. Is it okay to start up again doing full workouts or should I stay light on bench and such? "B" IP: Logged |

Believe it or not but insurance paid for all but the co-pay ($50). The gyno was not that bad but I was very self concience about it. I told the doc that it was very sensitive, he called my insurance, got the refferal to a surgen, and had it removed. It was just on one side. But lucky me huh...... Oh also. If your gyno is just developing I think that Clomid may help. Ask some of the vets. "B" [This message has been edited by B (edited March 18, 2000).] IP: Logged |

Wow, how the hell did you pull that off? Damn I wonder if I could get my insurance to pay for it. Did the doc ask you if you got it from gear? IP: Logged |

Don't tell the Doc your on gear when you go in for it. They won't test you for gear before hand. IP: Logged |

NO he didnt ask. He said that the insurance would pay for it to get my body proportionate as I had one tit bigger than the other. I have lifted regularly for about two years and I'm not huge (YET) so I guess it didn't cross his mind. IP: Logged |

I thought they would only pay for health reasons and that gyno surgey was cosmetic so they wouldn't pay for it. Obviously not all insurance companies will pay or bodybuilders wouldn't be forking out thousands to get it done. IP: Logged |

Had one cut out on my right side last year. Insurance will take care of it if it is only on one side. They are not sure if that it is hormonal. Having it on both sides will make an insurance company question the surgery. REAL gyno surgery is a lot different. Costs between $3500-$6000. The Dr will also sew up the glands so that reacurance is virtually nill. Insurance will not cover this operation. At least that is what I have been told. One of the best plastic surgeons for bodybuilders is Dr. Bruce Nadler from N.Y.C. His office is in Manhattan. www.drnadler.com IP: Logged |
