The guy at my local supplement warehouse where I get my protein, says that if I take my protein mixed with water, my body absorbs it better. And is able to utilize the protein better if it's not mixed with milk. From what I've always understood, it's the same either way. Anyone able to confirm or deny this? I couldn't imagine mixing it with water. Maybe it'd taste the same. Milk just adds more protein, and makes it thicker. Any input appreciated. IP: Logged |

I don't see why mixing it with water would make it absorb better. Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

I doesn't make a difference in regards to absorbtion. You can mix it with either but more calories and better taste with milk. --bigtbone IP: Logged |

I have found that all protein shakes taste better with milk and water can't even compare to the extra protein and calories in milk. IP: Logged |

I was always told that taking it with water would make your body digest it quicker. It will also help if you are on a low Carb diet! *Y2Kylee* IP: Logged |

God, I wish I could take it with milk. I'm lactose intolerant and it would make me run like a faucet. I'd end up 10lbs lighter by the end of the day. (LOL) IP: Logged |

I usually take mine with milk because they are thicker and taste better. Also, adding milk is good because I have some cassein proetein mixed with whey and cassein is slowly absorbed while whey is quickly absorbed. Kind of like time released. IP: Logged |
