![]() ![]() ![]() I am in a cleaning phase, and changed my training routine (do that every 3-6 weeks). Now I am always sore, and I like to look at it as an indicator of intensity, but since I rotate my routine more often, being sore for more than 2 days has become a handicap. Is there anything I can do to speed up recovery and combate soreness w/o going back on roids. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I do stretch in between sets (most of the time), take Vit c ~3000mg/day, work out 1-1.25 hrs, do all that catabolism prevention shit, but still get sore. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You may just have to take some time off to recoop. If I get sore, I take off 1 or 2 days and hit it hard, that gives my muscles and my mind time to "regroup!" Try "Andro Heat" for the sorness, it helps me! ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I am doing 2 days on 1 day rest, whereas my whole body routine would take 3 days. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() try stretching good after a workout, eat a banana or two with your postworkout meal (for the K+), take 800 mg. Ibuprofin, drink tons of water, and get your favorite lady friend to give you a good muscle massage the day after. --bigtbone IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry to cause an argument but scientific studies show that stretching doesn't do squat for DOMS. DOMS 'peaks' at the 48hr mark so it should be sore for at least 3-4 days. Rest, Protein and Gear (i.e. maximise recovery ability)are the only way. Painkillers will stop you feeling the pain but will have little effect on the bodies ability to repair the damage that your workout has caused. Have a nice day..... B IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I personally love muscle soreness. To help aleviate muscle soreness do a couple light sets of the muscle worked the previous day. I also do a fifteen min wormup with 10s before every workout. IP: Logged |
