I was looking at villian's workout, and asks can one grow that type of a workout. I was taught that you have to work each body part at least 3 days a week!

I'm new to this scene, so maybe its because of that, but I have had great results training a body part once a week. I think the key is to change up your routine. Don't keep the same one for more than 4 weeks. Good luck gettin huge. Let me know how it goes.

Poliquin and some other rather reliable sources say your training should be directly inverse to eperience; little experience more frequent training, more experience lass training

I find that as I get stronger, I don't recover as well from a heavy workout. I train each body part every 7-10 days, dapending on what my goals are at the time.

Poliquin and others are right on that, the more time you've spent in the gym and more muscle mass that you have the more efficient your workouts become. That is you can kill off your muscle much faster and get a great workout in less time, as well as need more time to recover, partially because of the amount of muscle that needs to be repaired.

I've trained every other day, BALLS-TO-THE-WALL for 2 years now and have had the best results ever. A six day split as follows... DAY ONE: Quads
DAY TWO: Arms
DAY THREE: Hams
DAY FOUR: Chest
DAY FIVE: Back
DAY SIX: Shoulders
You can concentrate fully on each bodypart, get plenty of rest physically AND mentally, and have time for other things in life.

When I first started training I did each bodypart 2x per week,16 sets per bodypart. My strength shot up for the first year the second year was hell. My strength went down every day, My solution was to train harder which compounded the problem. Now I do one bodypart per week. If I feel that i need more rest I take it. My results are great and I love going to the gym.

I tottaly agree. I used to work out too much and started to plateau. Now i work out one body part a day each one once a week. I also never do the same workout for more then one week in a row. I like to look around the gym and i know which excercises work and whatever i feel like doing that day and is open at the time i do. I find the varying of programs week to week greatly increases strength and muscle mass. Anyone else do this?

same here one body part a week, but if i'm trying to concentrate on a lagging bodypart i'll hit that bodypart twice a week for a while .

i got a question though, if a bodypart is still sore and stiff should you give it an extra day?

I think you should change it up. You should train each muscle group twice a week for a while and when the gains start to slow then train once a week. Variety is the key. Also doing high reps some time and low reps sometimes. There is not one set program to use as long as you see gains then you are good to go. As far as the muscle soreness. I usually wait an extra day but sometimes I will work that muscle group lightly which actually helps it recover in my experience.

Day 1 Chest
Day 2 Back
Day 3 Shoulders
Day 4 Bis/Tris
Day 5 legs
I got this from one of the IFBB guys in a Flex about 6 months ago. I've been growing like a weed ever since.

I belive that while traing with the juice, you can afford to train one bodypart more then once a week. I train one certin bodypart sometimes 2-3 times a week, just with less sets! I use to do 1 bodypart once a week while not on the juice, but on it, well you know! Train hard, eat good and rest. And it can happen!
