I have read that AS helps ppl burn fat calories because it is anti-catabolic. I was wondering if someone could explain this phenomena in more detail. Also, any firsthand info on losing weight doing a moderate amount of cardio on Sust 250? PLz, don't mistake this as my only goal... IP: Logged |

Hey man anabolics will help you retain and gain muscle, they are not fat burners like clen, Dnp or ECA, I suppose the more muscle you have the higher your metabolism so the more calories you will burn in a day. The reason people use anabolics is to gain muscle not to lose fat, but by haveing more muscle that helps you lose fat, so there you have it. Train and eat to get big while on a cycle to gain as much muscle as possible and when your done concentrate on fat loss. I just cant figure out why people keep posting the same question and or statement over and over again that steroids will cut you up, it makes no sense. IP: Logged |

AS dosent cut you up it puts muscle on you there for pusshing the fat to the side so to speak if you want to cut up qut eating carbs, than you wont have energy to lift just get huge than diet to lose weight but you will lose muscle to so one or the other.good luck man. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Aargh!!! Damn it ppl. Read my posts before you answer. I have read quite a few posts on this board where ppl started losing fat while they began AS cycles. I was interested in this phenomena. I already know about metabolism stimulants, and am also aware that many lifters prefer to do purely bulking cycles. All of that stuff does not answer my post. IP: Logged |

Dogboy, the fact that a given steroid may have anti-catabolic effects would have no bearing on it helping to burn fat calories (other than in the most indirect of senses,ie having more lean mass, hence a higher BMR). However, I don't see why you couldn't do some Sust to help maintain muscle mass while cutting up. You may get a little water retention, but that can be dealt with pretty easily. I did something similar some time back (back when I still did cardio) and got fairly ripped at the end. I did clen, ephedrine/caffeine (I think aspirin is a waste of time) and t-3 along w/the AS, trained each body part once every 6 days, and did one hi-intensity interval session on bike in A.M. daily, as well as one low intensity session on bike after each workout. I reduced my calories to about 500 below maintenance as well skewing the macronutrient ratio to one more in favor of protein. I am not suggesting that one can use AS to lose fat, merely to help maintain muscle on a diet. IP: Logged |

I would have to agree with everyone else AS doesn't caues fat loss directly. You gain muscle which in turn raises your BMR and all things being left the same ie, Diet/workout/supplements you get somewhat leaner if you add AS. I alway have gained weight to compete and I seen to get leaner as I get heavier. Strange I know but, thats just me and a couple of others I know. IP: Logged |

yes they will. i read that anabolic steroids will burn more fat than a low fat diet. so you might lose 1-2 lbs. a week if you don't force feed yourself. IP: Logged |

Is there really two camps of thought on this? IP: Logged |

I too am interested in this though I have only anectdotal evidence of friends who have used to go by. They seem to feel they loose fat and gain muscle even on weaker anabolics like winny. I am starting my first cycle which is rather harsh and i have a post with a similiar question. IP: Logged |

Once again AS doesn't burn fat. The muscle you again from AS causes your BMR to go up and that's what burns fat. The added muscle has the fat loss effect. AS has no direct affect on fat loss. IP: Logged |

To say that AS increases your metabolism and improves yours lean muscle mass, but does not burn fat is a complete condradiction. YES AS Burns fat. But most people on AS increase their calorie intake so much that it outways the increase in metabolic rate and therefore may cause a bodyfat increase. If AS did not burn fat than a typical cylcle would turn everdody into a strong fat pig. IP: Logged |
