I would. My shoulder are both jacked, can't do flat worth a crap anymore but there's other excersizes you can do instead to get around it. If you keep tryin to bench you may be put out for several months.. IP: Logged |

Ecto....I went through the same shit....before I could check my ego in I blew'em out for good. Now I do dumbells only, I love'm. Also give inverted grip benches on the Smith machine a try. It takes alot of pressure off the shoulders, but places more on the tri's.....you won't be able to do as much, and use a spotter!!! Ranger IP: Logged |

My right shoulder(rotator cuff) was always hurting on a flat bench. I just do dumbells and always use the Hammer Strength bench. It really concentrates you pecs and it take alot of pressure off your shoulders. I just had to swallow my pride and skip the flat bench. My friends are always asking how much I could bench and I have to tell them, I don't!!! Also you could try Glucosamine and Chondrotin. It took alot of the pain away. IP: Logged |

b4 my shoulder surgery i took about 2 months off from the heavy bench. i focused on doing all that shoulder rehab ie. internal and external rotation, front raises, lateral raises with elbow bent at 90degrees, empty cans. Yeah it was thera-band time for me. just doing the rehab helped regain some of the rotator cuff strength that i was lacking and took away some of the everyday pain in my shoulder. I stayed away form incline bench and military press and that seemed to help also. My regular bench routines were with weight that i could do for reps of 20. Anyways that was what worked for me. good luck and train hard. IP: Logged |
