![]() ![]() ![]() After I had my wisdom teeth pulled 4 weeks ago, I had some trouble eating for a week or so. I lost about 4 pounds and some strength in the gym. Anyway, today I'm benching and I've been depressed ever since the surgery because I was so weak. I did 1 set of 10 at 215, when I wanted to get 12 up. Then I got a set of 8 at 225, then a set of 6 at 225. Before surgery I could have done 4 sets of 10 at 225. So now I'm wondering what the hell is wrong with me and I go to do the final set at 235 -- I told my spotter I was going for 4reps because of the shitty workout I was having. Anyway, I lifted the bar off and it feels like 185 or something. I did 4 reps easy and actually took the time between breaths to yell out HOLY FUCK. I got 10 reps at 235. That's even stronger than before the surgery. I'm riding on a goddamn cloud. I know I'm pretty weak on the bench, but I'm a smaller guy than most of you too. ------------------ the alpha male IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hey, that's great A-mass. I have had surgery too, and working your way back is a bitch. Now I am back baby, almost twice as strong as I was before. Sounds like you are on the same path! Keep tearing it up! IP: Logged |
