 bubbles in syringe?

Sometimes when I inject in my glutes and pull back to check for blood there is bubbles or clear liguid coming into the syringe. What is this? Am I not in deep enough? Thanks for any replies! IP: Logged |

IF YOU'RE BUYING YOUR SYRINGES WITH THE NEEDLES ALREADY INSTALLED GIVE THEM A TWIST BEFORE YOU USE THEM. THE NEEDLE MIGHT NOT BE TIGHT AND YOU COULD DRAW AIR IN AT THE CONNECTION. BUBBLES ARE NOT DANGEROUS INTAMUSCULARLY. EVEN INTRAVENOUS BUBBLES HAVE TO BE PRETTY BIG TO CAUSE A PROBLEM. THE OLD WIFES TALE THAT IF YOU GET ANY BUBBLE AT ALL IN A VEIN WILL STOP YOUR HEART IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE. IP: Logged |

I use a filter need to draw my juice from the ampule, to keep glass out. I put the new injection needle on as tight as it will get so I don't think that is the problem. I am just wondering if I am maybe not getting all the way to the muscle. I use a 1" needle on my glutes and don't have alot of fat there. I push the needle as deep as it will go. IP: Logged |

when you pull back on the plunger??? you want little air bubbles, the alternative is blood or some nasty liquid nobody seems to know what it is.... bubbles good, blood and other stuff bad. IP: Logged |
