I am no doctor, but I do have common sense. Life expectancy is probably correlated to the rate at which the body deteriorates. A.S. reduces this wasting, increase red blood cells and protein synthesis, therefore I would conclude that A.S. contributes to a person's life expectancy! later IP: Logged |

Bro, Statistics can be made to say whatever you want, if you look at them from a certain angle. I heard that left handed people live longer than righties.....I mean what the fuck???? There's a lot of weird numbers out there... Matt IP: Logged |

Man I dont even know if this should be commented on, 15%, where does that figure come from, how can it be medically proven that someone would have lived 15% longer if they hadnt used roids, it cant. People can look at overall statistics and try to make comparisons between users and non-users but I have never seen any studies, and usually people that use are more active physically so that has to help, and where do you draw the line for users? What if you only do one or two cycles ? What if you do a half dozen light cycles? What if you did a 3 dozen heavy cycles? Is all that taken into account in the studies along with other lifestyle habits? The point is how do you even put together a study like that, its too dificult, whoever told you that was talking out of their ass. IP: Logged |

They also say that if you don't wear a seat belt, then your chances of dying before you are 40 increase by 25%. I think that is greater cause for concern. Statistics can be made to reflect anything. IP: Logged |

-So, lets see, started when I was 14....I should already be dead! I'd like to hear the proof behind that one......would'nt they have to know when you were going to die to figure that one out? -LOL, ah you crazy Americans!! My dad used to tell me I would go blind if I.......sounds like the same scare tactic to me. As for life expectancy....ask Sergio Olivia. Is'nt it funny how Lou Ferrigno is still alive, yet non-steroid user and co-star Bill Bixby is dead because of cancer. He did'nt even smoke, so I wonder if fried food will take off 15 minutes off your life? Nah, lets say 30. IP: Logged |

well according to a lot of scientific work done with rats just eating as much as we do shortens you life that much. But I really am not a big fan of such theorists- I feel that life span is usually controlled mainly by two factors oxidative/free radical damage and telomere shortening. the first is pretty self explantory- free radicals damage DNA leading to eventual cell death or cell immortality-aka CANCER telomeres are the cool guys that repair your DNA while the cells of your body replicate- unfortunately the telomere strand shortens with each replication making it less effective leading to DNA misreplication which leads to the above side effect- cell death or cancer. this is a pretty basic overview of an extremely complicated interaction of various factors- but just trying to show that there are other forces at work, other than over eating, smoking, taking gear, which result in determining the length of your life.

I know I am not a regular on here, but I am sure most of them would agree with me. In my experience, anabolics used in an efficient way along with proper diet and nutrition; as well as, an excellent weight-training program. It's like anything.....if you abuse it, you can hurt yourself....if you learn about if first before hand, I believe steroids can indefinitely prolong your life. Why do you think they give them AIDS patients??? IP: Logged |

It's like what one of my econ professors used to say, "If you torture numbers long enough, they will say whatever you want them to." By the way, typing on a keyboard is known to cause carpel tunnel syndrome and staring at a monitor can cause vision problems but sometimes you just have to go crazy and take a risk. If you research enzymes, theres alot concerning life soan. Enzymes are used for every process that takes place in the body. Many nutritionists believe supplementing with enzymes and eating a high percentage of your calories from raw fruits and vegetables will greatly prolong life and qaulity of life by combating things that take put a toll un the body. THAT WAY YOU CAN HANDLE TWICE THE AMOUNT OF PUNMISHMENT. Wich means twice the gear twice the gains. Yehaaa!! Just kidding IP: Logged |

this sort of statment makes me smile DIANABOL was created in 1956-60 and lets say they were using doses of 30-40mg per day like today(which they were not) a 20 year old in 1960 would be 60 years old the life expectancy of a male is...what 72-76 that generation hasn't reached their potential yet AND I GUARANTEE THEY HAVE NOT DONE STUDIES ON THIS (some of you might say lab studies but in vitro and rats are not humans) bump MACRO!! fk-your life expectancy goes down if you live with a smoker or are just plain around a lot of smokers. stress is the biggy. ive read of people who live to 100 years well that drink and smoke moderately. its genetics its lifestyle its diet.....its impossible to figure! 15% ? more like 15 seconds on the news! Hey Macro, I go away for spring break, come back and you're a monitor! I offer you hearty congratulations. You too E2. Overeating takes years off your life. Having high insulin levels is one of the better predictors of early death. Fact is, just being large takes off years. I read a study indicating that it doesn't matter if you are a huge ripped freak or a greasy fat fuck, people with the same amount of weight on the same size frame tend to die at the same time. The average life of a pro football lineman is what, 56 years? Between the workouts and gear, we have a lot in common with them. I know it might make you rage inside that you, having made your body a testament to perfection of form, will take a dirt nap about the same time as the fat bastard in front of you at the checkout breathing heavy because he picked up a grocery bag. Every man dies, not every man truly gets buff. When death comes for me, all gaunt and skeletal, I want him to point a bony finger at me and say "Damn! You are pretty fucking lean!". Peace! ------------------ IP: Logged |

One of the coolest old doods i met was An ex old timer wrestler WWF style that is. I use to work out at his gym when i was in high school. Today he is in his mid 70s and he speaks freely about steroids. Says his been taking steroids for over 40 years and that if he stopped he would be dead in less than a year. He also happens to be the biggest toughest 70yr old i know. If juice can make me look like him when im 70, than its a dam good thing IP: Logged |

Actually, I have no idea, and I try not to think about it too much. I don't think that juice will prolong your life. I think it will lead to the possiblity of prostate cancer and heart attacks, though (long-term use). We'll see someday. IP: Logged |

The (theoretical - to my knowledge there are no good empirical proof yet) reasons that AS is believed to shorten your life expectancy are several. 1) AS speeds up the metabolism (as does eating calorie rich diets), speeding up the processes (including aging) in your body. See Macro's answer above. 2) AS increases the production of free radicals in your body, leading to several bad things. Many anti-aging experts believe that reducing the amount of free radicals is the key to delaying aging. 3) AS (together with all other medications that are usually used in conecction with it) puts stress on various organs in your body (Liver, kidneys etc.). I guess the figure 15 % is a qualified guess (maybe from animal studies). IP: Logged |

If you eat foods high in saturated fat everyday, it will shorten your life faster than doing some sensible cycles. Or Smoking for that matter.. MY Father was just diagnosed with lung cancer(also has swollen liver and spleen) wednesday, he's only 55. I plan to eat healty, work out, juice, Don't smoke ,and live longer. Oh I am serious about my father, so no flames..please.. IP: Logged |

this is the way i look at it bro, what the hells the difference if u die at 70 years old or at 80 years old? To be honest i rather die at 70. When u reach that age u can't do shit. your taken all these f*#ken medicines that make u even more messed up. I rather juice up, train hard, eat right, have a big body, live and enjoy life now, than worry about whats going to happen to me when i'm 70. Cause i know when i'm old and gray i'm going to regret not doin the shit i'm doing right now. call me ignorant if u want to, but that's just the way i feel. IP: Logged |
