Yeah, what he said. Try to eat 250grams of protein a day. Also eat some carbs with your protein as they are protein sparing. Force feed yourself if you have too. Consistency is key here. I know guys that claim to eat enough protein and calories but in fact they eat everything in sight for two days and then lie on the sofa for two more recovering and eating 1500cals per day.

Don't waste too much cash on the supplements, drink lots of milk, and work each muscle group once a week. My routine: chest 16 sets/ bis 10-12 sets/stomach day off tris 10-12 sets/back 10-12 sets day off legs 22 sets/calves 18 sets + burn out/shoulders 14-16 sets next day swim day off start again This is tough to adjust too especially if you were like me when I started, working each muscle twice a week at sets of about 25-30 per muscle. That was overtraining and I would rarely feel sore after the workout. With this routine I feel sore for two days after the workout. Train heavy for 8 reps/set and increase weight every time you reach 8. Hope this helps IP: Logged |
