I am busy writing my full rationale for not using insulin, and you will have to wait for all of the reasons not to use insulin (as I see it). For starters, insulin is better at storing fat than building muscle. Using insulin can screw with your natural insulin secretion and damage insulin sensitivity, not joking matters. Exogenous insulin is atherogenic, meaning it has been linked to artery disease in people without diabetes. I am leaving some stuff out for now, but let these reasons tide you over. Get huge. first of all have you ever done insulin before? Second how much research have you done on the subject? Insulin acts in 3 ways that are advantageous to muscle. 1) It increases muscel glycogen storage - providing more working energy and giving a fuller appearence. 2) In the presence of high serum levels of amino acids it can facilitate incorporation into muscle protein. And 3) It can have an anit catabolic effect, sparing muscle protein during break down. Now if your looking for insulin to act in some way to restart your natural test production, it will not work. Insulin is it's own hormone, idependant of testosterone. However you will possible retain or even gain some weight on it most likely fat. I would strongly advise against 4 weeks on insulin, that's a good way to become a diabetic, no more then 2 weeks if you have used it before. If you have never used it 10 days with no more then 5 units a day. (100 units are in 1 ml of HumulinR, so it's very potent) Make sure you have all your food ready to go, an extra suppy of pure grape juice, dextrose tablets and someone who know what your doing and the warning signs of hypoglycemia. Good luck IP: Logged |
