My family, has almost convinced me to work
out a deal with the Marines to help finance
my medical school tuition, I plan to go
by the recruitment center Monday, if everything sounds good, and I sign up...are
they going to test me; I'd hate to embaress
my folks.
COMMENT ON MY CYCLE.

At the MEPS they will take a blood sample to test for HIV and other shi*. I am not sure if they test for steroids, but I don't think so! I would not think about it to much, just do it!

PS The military is not a good bodybuilding job, to much feild time and not as much gym time! I am getting out!

They won't test for roids unless they have a reason to. Too damn expensive. But you will most likely have to give them eight years of your life minimum after college. If you want to be a bodybuilder and huge, then stay out of the military.

However, if you do join the Marines, you will be joining a fraternity that only a select few are in. You will earn the title UNITED STATES MARINE. Damn made myself cry.

Decide what direction you want to go. Not having to pay back about 100, 000 pllus dollars is cool.

PS!
Oh yeah, you will be in the Navy not the Marines. We don't have doctor's, we use the Navy Doc's.

i agree with all the posts. They would be happy to help pay for your school. you can go 2 routes. go in for a min of 4 years and get some money when you get out. or get your education paid for and go in for 8 yrs as an officer. The first route you dont get much money. Trust me Im using mine now. The second route you make decent money in your time in afterward but you wouldnt be a doctor if you went Marine. I personally wouldnt go in the Navy to learn medecine or anything for that matter. lol

As for the military and your ability to maintain a bodybuilding lifestyle? well it depends on the field you go in. they tell you you can go to school and such. but thats field related as well. I would say if you like paperwork you could be in admin and have a 7-4 job and have a relatively normal life. most of the time that is not the case. constant deployments, change of duty stations, long hours dont make it too easy on the lifestyle. not to mention if you are single, you will live in the barracks and eat the food at the chowhall. blech. or you can spring for your own food. as far as testing goes... you have to be careful not to draw attention to yourself. those who blow up relatively quick are subject to question. also they normally only have random tests for the main street drugs. you have to order a specific screening for AS.

Now dont get me wrong, i loved my time in, and am proud to this day of all i did. Its something that doesnt go away, tons of experiences, and alot of fun.I just want to give you the right picture before you go in and decide its not for you. It saves yourself and the Corps money and time. Hope this helps you make your decision. If you do decide to join the "Band of Brothers", earn the title and welcome. It stays with you a lifetime. <sniff sniff> getting all emotional now.....gotta go....lol peace!

Bro if you are serious about the Marines take a good long look at yourself
you know the saying "the few the proud the marines" yeah the few because it takes more to be a marine if you are looking for honor courage commitment displine then look at the marines if you are looking at the marines for money signs and paychecks then look somewhere else. not to offend but i dont want shitbirds as my brotherin

so if you go forth with the corps then oohrah

if you decide to take a different path then best of luck to you

oh just one more thing they wont test you for roids but they might see that your protein levels are high in your blood just tell them that you eat a lot of protein

All my life I have sacrificed, in order to
get to where I am today. For nearly 5 years
of my life, I was knee deep in organic chemistry, physic, and calculus - it paid
off - now I'm with the elite students of
the U.S. Furthermore, about 8 years ago
I discovered bodybuilding, which has increased my discipline ten-fold - all of
us know how much dedication our sport takes!
Whatever I decide to do, it will be done
well. I hate failure - I love success.

Hey Primo, Marine corps is good to go . i enjoy the easy job it is. I am in the air wing so i dont see much of the feild. if you have a degree i would be an officer. it will be an 8 years of dedication. i am in for 6 years . i am enlisted though. they only teast for rec drugs. i dnot know anyone who has been put out for juice. . i know a few people who do and they are still in . hell this is my first cycle and so far i am still here. hope it stays that way . i dont sweat it . Good luck on the choice you make. no matter wher eyou go just remeber once in there is no turning back .

Semper Fi!!

DAMN....didnt know there were so many jarheads on this board. makes me feel at home. lol. yeah airwing is good to go as far as not having to head to the field cept for cax...yuck. but 29stumps has a decent gym. sorry to get off topic. im sure primo will make the right choice. if you have so much education and you really want to be in the medical field, then the marine corps could be delaying your plans. but i had a blast!
