First off,

How bad is your pain? If it isn't that bad I wouldn't even go for the Vicodin I would be hitting Tylenol or Ibuprofen.

Second,

If you are taking any type of pain reliever how do you know when your muscles are ready to lift? Example, say you work chest on monday, taking a pain killer you are not sore so you figure you can push it again on wednesday and all the while you have not recovered? I know this may seem common sense but painkillers can give you a false confidence that you wouldn't have had before.

Third,

Why would you want to take an addictive drug that you don't need? I mean granted if you have tooth pain or whatever take it for that but not lifting.

Extremely addictive. I used to get it in the liquid form and I would drink a lot of it before I would have long bus trips. I sat on the bus like a zombie, which was good, but after the season, I had severe withdrawal and depression that I am still battling.

I got some of this after my wisdom teeth were pulled. Didn't end up using much and I still have some pills left, 8 grams worth I think. Can you get a trip off this stuff? What is it?

I fully agree with platinum. If you are on painkillers, the possibility of overtraining and causing injury is increased.

Quit being a puss and take some tylenols. I had all four wisdom teeth pulled at the same time(impacted as well), didn't get put out either. They just numbed it up with a few shots. I sold my painkillers to a bunch of drug addicts at my school.

Vdevil I did the same thing with Vicodin.

Bro, you are right, you probably can't get addicted in 24 pills, but then again maybe you can.

Let's ask Brett Favre how long it took him.

But you are increasing the potential for injury.......so much about bodybuilding is just KNWOING YOUR BODY, understanding what you need to adjust, simply based on how you feel. It takes time but if there is a secret to bodybuilding, KNOW YOUR BODY would be it.

Things that make that mind/body connection less strong should be avoided.

I was on vicodin too. It did absolutely nothing to me. I actually didn't even feel like working out on it. It will kill pain though very well, so watch it in the gym, don't be fooled.

obviously Vicodin wouldnt make much of a rec.drug since you feel nothing, and usually fall asleep or at least get drowsy. Why do people get addicted,in constant pain?

i fkd up my leg playing indoor soccer one summer, and the doc prescribed Vicodin. mine then were in a foil pouch of 2. not sure what the dose was but i know they were of the upper level! they knocked me off my ass while i was in college that year. i definitely became "accoustomed" to them!. there was a cute nurse who had it for me that kept it coming. well to make a long short, the stuff had me and finally quit as it tore my stomach up! stay clear of this stuff!!

24 arent enough to become an addict but you can become codene tolerant very quickly and you will have to keep upping your dose to get the same effect. and when you run out you will have withdrawal (codene Flu) even with that small amount.
