I've had lot's of ICQ messages asking advice and finding out that they're still in they're teens I have to point this out. Those will do what they wanna do, but at least be informed. Here' goes... Being a teenager can be a rough time - EXCEPT if you want to be a Bodybuilder - then you're in luck! Your OWN body, (unless there is something very wrong with it), produces HUGE AMOUNTS of anabolic steroids all by itself! (The steroid "Testosterone".) Putting extra steroids into your body at this age can cause the ends of your bones to close up tight - and stop you from getting any bigger. This is not very smart.... It is not until you reach the age of 22-23 (or 20-25 depending on the doctor you speak to), that your body begins to make less and less steroids each day.+++ Only AFTER this age does steroid supplementation make any sense at all - and even then, ONLY after you have gained at least 10-20% of "lean muscle mass".... Why is this? Because until you have built up this 10% to 20% of additional muscle on your own, you are generally not limited by the amount of steroids your own body makes! There is no need to supplement, and spending money for extra steroids would just be a waste. But there is even more... ...Your body also becomes "de-sensitized" to anabolic steroids over a period of time, so by only taking them when they are USEFUL, the muscle-building effect is actually GREATER! This is the reason for "cycling" - and also the reason for not taking steroids UNTIL THEY ARE USEFUL! ------------------ IP: Logged |

hey I disagree withthe car analogy, trust me, I started at 17,a nd saw great gains, far superior than anyone my age(of course by 17, I was 6'3 and 220 lbs)....I would say if a teen wants to do roids, he or she will find a way, I wouldn't advise it, but I can see doing it for a sport as I did... big-guy IP: Logged |

i don't buy it. i don't see what harm one or two 14 day cycles would do to someone that age. a person only build 15 lbs. a year naturally anyway at that age. 2 14 day cycles will put 30 lbs on. IP: Logged |

I'm not saying that this post is written in stone! It's a fact that I thought would be interesting to post. There are alway's exceptions to the rule, that I don't deny. But as I said... This is for anyone who wants to read, which will allow you to make an INFORMED descision. Which is what a lot of people are striving for. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I've noticed that when young guys go on, they get very watery. Afterwards, they battle for the rest of their training days just to stay moderately lean. By training naturally and allowing the muscle to mature, you enhance the effect AND it's more permanent AND it tends to burn fat as well as build muscle. Listen to Rock! IP: Logged |

I have lifted for 3 years straight and have gained about 35 pounds naturally. All of it muscle and now i don't think it is humanly possible to keep up the pace. Explain how you would go about the situation if u were in my shoes. It all depends on the person--whether they want to be big now or 6 years from now. IP: Logged |

i know its not written in stone. if i were young though i would only do 2 week cycles, as they aren't as damaging to the body as 8-12 week cycles. IP: Logged |

That's right "IS", that is exactly what this post is saying. I think you're missing my point. Whether you want to be big now or six years from now, does depend solely on the person. But, depending on your age will determine your muscular skeletal development and it's reliability in the years to come. I posted this because people were asking me a lot of questions which eventually lead me to this. A lot of those people aren't looking to compete, so why risk it? ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hey what I think rock_man is tying to advise is that not to jump the gun to much. Try to go as far as you can naturely and save th gear as kind of your ace in the hole and not to throw it to early but as many of you have said before each person is diffrent so I guess every one kinda has to take it with a grain of salt IP: Logged |

I tend to bekieve that everyone here that juices initially started for the same reason. GREED, that internal drive to have it all now instead of later. I remember being 18 - 22 and had a very difficult time waiting for much of anything. Wanted to find a job paying $50.00/hr with no experience or college necessary. I just keep remembering what my Dad always said, "Son, watch what you do to yourself now when you're young, cause even though it isn't bothering your body right now, you don't live in right now forever. It all comes back to find you such is the circle of life." ------------------ IP: Logged |
