Before you tell him anything ask what he thinks about steroids. That should answer your question. 300 IP: Logged |

Personally i think a trainer is a complete waste of money. Other than that it all depends on how you think he'll react. Does he look like he takes juice, or did take it at one time?? Most trainers are open to it, but some are reall asshole whith a holier than thou attitude.

In my experience most trainers that I know and have spoken with dont know shit, I would have to think you are really inexperienced or you wouldnt be using a trainer and if so then you shouldnt be using steroids either, if your on gear right now and your training like a pussy then you are completely wasting your money and time, I would stop juicing immediately and drop your trainer, then read alot and train for a few years until you know what your doing. Not trying to sound like an asshole but you need to be a little more intelligent about what you are doing. IP: Logged |

What the hell do you need a trainer for? If you are knowledgheable enogh to know that he is treating you like a whimp, you are able to train yourself.Save the money and by more protien powder, try going through 5 pounds a week and you will gain more than that trainer could for you IP: Logged |

A LOT OF PERSONAL TRAINERS ARE JUST THERE FOR A PAY CHECK. SEEK ADVICE FROM SOMEONE YOU RESPECT, MAKE YOUR OWN WORKOUT SCHEDULE, KEEP A LOG, AND FIGURE OUT WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU. EVERYONES BODY IS DIFFERENT, AND REACTS TO TRAINING IN DIFFERENT WAYS.NO ONE KNOWS HOW MUCH WEIGHT YOU SHOULD USE BUT YOU! TAKE TIME TO EXPERIMENT AND FIND THE RIGHT WEIGHT FOR THE EXERCISES YOU DO. IF YOU THINK YOU NEED A TRAINER, YOU'RE PROBABLY JUST GETTING STARTED. JUST BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVER DO IT, AND HURT YOURSELF.IF THAT HAPPENS YOU WON'T TRAIN ANYWHERE, UNTILL YOUR BODY HAS TIME TO HEAL. GOOD LUCK!!! IP: Logged |

Bro you need to drop the trainer and pick up some literature and plan your workouts on your own. Everything you need to know can be learned by reading or asking some experienced guys in the gym. A trainer only cares female clients but will take that cash from anyone. And like someone said above, if your using gear you don't need a trainer. IP: Logged |

Sounds to me like you need another trainer. I am a personal Trainer. I've been doing it for a few years, and I'm an Exercise Science major. Find out his qualifications, ask alot of questions, and tell him you need to bump it up. Most trainers are stuck in the 80's with their training tech. and wonder why they have clients with rotator injuries, and knee problems. IP: Logged |

Hey bro i was a personal trainer for three years and heres my opinion. Most people that seek trainers are looking for motivation or they just dont know jack. I use to take on a client and try and educate them and send them on their own in about 2-4 sessions, then check up on them 4-8 weeks down the road rather than milk um for sessions. once your familiar with the basics find your self a trainer partner that wants the same intensity than get on the training message board for continued tips. But if your adamant on a trainer than dont be afraid to tell him or her what you want. Its your money! I dont see any reason why you need to tell um your on gear. they just tell all their buddies behind your back. IP: Logged |

Bro..these are all redundant, but how long have you been working out and how old are you? Do you need a trainer to train you?? or is a motivation? If you just started, I would wait on the gear for a couple years. This may sound a little depressing, cause we all love to be big and strong and gear will get you there only if you have a strong foundation of eating properly/sufficiently and training properly. If you have just started to feel your oates, for lack of a better word, in the gym, you should stay clean for some time and drive thru your own potential for a while. Read, read, read magazines and books on bodybuilding and nutrition. You'll learn alot and be able to form your own routines and listen to your own body. If you feel you can push yourself, then do it. If not that day, back off a little. Become your own trainer. Not to say that other people's/trainers' advice shouldn't be listened to or considered, but be as knowledgable as you can. Honestly, not to make any trainers/ex-trainers mad, but I can be a better trainer than some,"some" of the trainers in my gym. If you think it can help, by all means do it, but if you are questioning the way you are being trained, think to yourself Is it worth spending this money? Also, before you tell anyone you're on gear, get their opinions on the use of gear first. Some will tell you they have or are, some will tell you how bad it is. Learn to feel people out first before volunteering any information. IP: Logged |

Bro, I am a trainer. I would want to know if you were on gear. But I belive I am the exception. The trainers at my gym are not that knowledgeable about much, and know little about gear. They're part of the "misinformed majority". Like someone said up top, ask your trainer what he thinks about gear, and go from there. Chances are, you will end up not telling him. Matt IP: Logged |

I am with you skywalker, I am a trainer and would want to know if he was on anything. I also argee with the others that if you are using a personal trainer, you havent been working out long enough to use any gear. I would support my client's decsion on using anything, and try my best to help him increase and maintain his gains. Again like MattTheSkywalker many people in the "field" do not have open minds. I think that it's always better that "other eyes" look at you and then see your good gains and your bad points and then prepare a new routine and if necessary a new diet. If you look at yourself it's not the same thing. So I have a personal trainer that I do not pay , beacuse it's included in what I pay for the gym , and he looks at me once per month to see what I need , my gains and what's bad. And then he prepares a new workout and a new diet. To answer the first question , YES OF COURSE you should tell your trainer you are on gear , otherwise how can he prepares for you the right heavy workout and the right diet ??? How can he change workout and diet if you are doing something he doese not know ??? He see the results of YOUR PERSONAL DIET (with gear) and will think that his preparation is ok ....... For you it will be a loss of money and time (no good preparation) for him it will be a big loss of time ..... So if you do not want to tell him it's better you do not have a trainer anymore , do everything by yourself. But I think you should tell everything and start a huge preparation and diet. If he does not approve roids , it's his problem , change trainer ! IP: Logged |

Bro, if you've only been training for 6 months, then I don't think you should take any gear for a while. Give it a couple of years of serious training and proper nutrition to build muscle. Your motivation has to come from within. You are wasting your money on juice now. It is like you are learning to drive in a Ferrari. Everyone would like that, but you'll wreck it sooner or later because of driving inexperience. That is just an example, metaphor if you will. Leave the juice alone and buy quality protein powder. Eat like mad and train like mad. You'll see results. Stick with it. No pill or oil is going to give you motivation. IP: Logged |
