Hi everyone, i am a 17 years old german who plays american Football in Germany.I weight 200 pounds, run the 40 in 4.6,benchpress 290lbs... But at US Highschools there are freaks who Backsquat 600 lbs, weight over 250 lbs and run the 40 in 4.4 range. It seemed to me that the trainingmetohds in the US are not natural IP: Logged |

What is your point? That americans naturally are stronger and better conditioned? And this to you is unatural? O.K, i'll agree. IP: Logged |

Well I dont think you can speak for all American young athletes, but Im sure there is a fair amount of juice among the kids these days. Truth of the matter is, from what Ive learned you, nor any other person of that age has any business using gear anyhow. Why inject test, when your own natural levels are skyrocketing as it is? You may be right about the guys youve encountered, but be smart, play it safe, and use the test your body is producing now, to the best of its capabilities, and worry about gear later...youll be glad you did. I'm sure in some cases you are absolutely right. I personally know a high school kid who set a state squat record here. Then, it was revoked, because they caught him with steroids. It's unfortunate, but true. Not all athletes in high school who perform exceptionally well are on them. A kid on my wrestling team when I was in high school, could bench 315, and the bastard was tiny. But he had more determination and drive than anyone I have ever seen. It is a problem... but don't jump and assume all high school athletes are on juice. Some are genetically gifted. Some work their ass off. Unfortunately... some are on the juice. You're kickin' ass, though. Beats the absolute hell out of what I was doing in high school. IP: Logged |

when i played HS ball i was 270 squated mid 500's ran the 40 in 4.65 i was natural so dont just assume that all americans that are big and strong that play ball are juice heads we just did alof of work and had good strength coaches plus a program called BFS bigger faster stronger really helped IP: Logged |

That was a bad post man. You guys are way behind, go to texas, oklahoma, florida, and southern cal, where high school football is the only thing on those boys mind, we all train hard year round, it was deffenetly the most important thing to me in high school.I played with huge dudes, and I know they didn't use gear. Those guys are just bad asses. Football is for Americans and no one will ever compete with us. Sorry I am so biased on the subject, but my advice to foriegners is to leave the pigskin alone, and keep kickin soccer balls. Plus I know for a fact that all those monsters that play college ball get tested pretty hard, by the NCAA. IP: Logged |

Well, I knew a kid when I was in highschool, who at the age of 15, good bench press fucking 450lb. He was using and his friends also. But he stunted his damned growth from using at that age. He started at age 13. IP: Logged |

I have to agree with halfcutz...I grew up in Florida..Damn there were some big boyz in High School...Our front line avg. 6'2" 260(high school). This same school smallest b-ball player was 6'2", tallest was 7'. Not to say that other states don't breed them this big... But there must be something in that salt water down there... Juice was making its was though... Coaches were introducing it when I was there.. Telling players that if they wanted to go on to college...stick it.... NoLimits... IP: Logged |

Hell no Germans don't do 'roids.... Come on, give us a break dude!!!! Football is for all sizes and skill is the determining factor. You can compare 2 guys with the same weight and build and one can perform 10x better on the field.. Size isn't all that matters in sport, training and natural skills are key. ------------------ IP: Logged |

It's in the food. US foods are crammed with more protein due to government standards. (FDA) The government does the same thing putting Fluoride in the water supply so Americans who can't afford a dentist won't lose their teeth. This keep Americans big lumbering SOB's with nice smiles. agreed with halfcutz...in hs I knew a kid who was 103 and squated 315, and he was all natural....I didn't juice till the end of senior year in hs(for college ball) and I was the second strongest kid in school history(the strongest one later tested positive at an olympic trial,a nd tehn addmitted to juicin since the summer before his frosh year in HS)...some people just have better genetics.... big-guy IP: Logged |

I know a guy who is 16 years old ,never even thought of juicing, he only works out during powerlifting season (very short time of the year). He plays ball and he is on the line. At his second meet this year, working out for maybe 4-5 weeks, he did a 600 squat, 375 bench, and 570 or more on dead lift. Just think if he wasn't a lazy ass and worked out all year. At age 15 I could rep 415 on squats for a good 6 without wraps and getting that ass low, I don't do flat barbell press but I do db's so I don't have a good number for that. IP: Logged |

Pardon my jingoistic tendancies, but yeah, Mr. T is right. If you and your mates ate what the Americans did, do what the Americans do, you would get results like they do. It is less likely that those kids are on roids in Gremany than back here. Also keep in mind, any weightlifting number that is claimed by a high school kid is definitely inflated. I know I did, in fact I squatted 2 tons in kindergarden. So there. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I played football in high school and none of the kids juiced. We had a line of an average weight of 250 and all were strong mofos. We also had a middle linebacker weighing 150 who could bench 350 and hit hard as hell. One dude who was 6'5" 280 was scared to get hit by him. Everyone I knew spent everyday lifting or eating or playing football. Not all juice. IP: Logged |

Bro, Keep in mind that you are playing a sport we invented. So we're going to be better at it, in general. Half-cutz was right - in parts of this country it is like a religion. Just keep doing your best. MAtt IP: Logged |

Yes BFS!!! BFS was an awesome program. Ive been out of high school for a year and this was my profile. 5'9" 215lbs. Bench 395...Squat 54...cleaned 305..I ran a 4.8 forty and never once touched gear...Some schools especially where I was from (Jersey) are nuts with weight training. If you start freshman year and work hard results like I had are not atypical. Sure you will have some people who juice but despite that fact thier are tons of kids busting there ass day in and day out in the weight room. IP: Logged |

I agree with Drsavage. A lot of those high school stats are totally inflated. On my JV football roster my coach had me at 6'4" 230. I was more like 6' 195. IP: Logged |

I attended a 3A high school in Arkansas. The front line averaged 6'0 @255 Lbs the back feild averaged 215 lbs and no one on the team used juice. Like halfcutz stated all we didi was eat and breath football. My senoir year I was 6"3 225lbs with a 4.5 40yrd. my best lifts in High School were" 325lbs bench, 290 powerclean 435 lbs Squat and a 565 deadlift" and there were several guys that could out lift me.. I think that alot of the advantages were from good coaching. We lifted all year and we were encoraged to eat right. IP: Logged |

i know coaches that make you grow, they make you feel like being the biggest the fastest and the baddest is the only way, look at texas high school football, from the stories i hear those motherf**kers are insain. i think it all depends on the school. if coaches really dont care chances are they wont juice but if football is all that matters in high school, you bet your ass kids are goin use. ------------------ IP: Logged |

hahaha, what gets me is the germans and soviets have LONG been the countries to feed their young athletes anything and everything to get them big... no way around it man, y'all invented steroid use... it long showed and still does in the olympic sports... so what if YOU personally arent the size speed or strength as others here, i bet my ass that their are kids there who blow some of ours out too... deal with it. Man, you need to just worry about you and not what someone across the world is doing. You sound like you are in great shape and need no gear. HS football in some states, I live in Texas, has it's own tv station and makes the front page, so kids feel thay have to perform on that level. Don't get tied up in the race just do what you feel is right. IP: Logged |

In my town (came in second in championship game in texas for our district size) there is so much damn pressure on those guys to be the biggest and the best that there is alot of kids juicing and they don't know what the fuck they are doing. They go on and don't come off until the season is over, and all they get (most of the time) is that damn Brovel T-200. I know there are alot of people that love that stuff but I wouldn't put it in my ass if someone gave it to me. IP: Logged |
