I am moving away to ohio for my summer intership, so I have to make all my own meals, unlike in college where I can eat at the cafe 3 out of 6 times during the day. I would like some feedback from all of you that take meals to work. I plan on eating 3 times while at work, and I need some ideas as what to make, and any special tips/tricks. Basically I am looking for easy and quick meals, so I don't have to cook for an hour the night before work. Thanks guys. LP IP: Logged |

Hey dude, I live in northwest Ohio! This place is so flat that you can watch your dog run away for 3 days! Regarding your question: precook a shit-load of chicken breasts, hard-boiled eggs, put some protein powder in a smaller container, protein bars(expensive), raw vegetables, etc. You will be suprised what kinds of creations you will come up with for variety. You must get some tupperware! Hope you enjoy Ohio Bro! IP: Logged |

if they have a price club/ sam's club buy a couple bags of the pre-cooked chicken breasts. they have like 4 different flavors (teryaki, mesquite, lemon pepper, & honey mustard). 2 1/2 minutes in the microwave and they're done. get a bag of the frozen mixed vegetables and bag of the yellow rice and you got a good meal that you can pop in the microwave......except for the yellow rice. another idea: helped me alot. GEORGE FOREMAN!(dontlaugh) but i can make 2 chicken breasts in about 13 minutes(frozen). so if you have a half hour to spare a night you can bust out a whole bunch of food for the next day. Also have a rice steamer. makes rice ready to eat in about 25 minutes tops. pour the rice in and the water, turn it on and walk away. itll keep it warm until you are ready to eat it or put it in the tupperware. College has forced me to be super time efficient so hope that helps. IP: Logged |

That George Foreman griller is no joke. Needed to see it mentioned on here. You can cook lean burgers on that thing - so if you're cheating you don't have to feel so bad about it...... Also great for chicken Matt IP: Logged |

I have used the foreman grill for at least a year now, but I ate so many chicken breasts and hamburgers I go sick of them, I left it at home when I came back to school cause I was tired of cleaning it. Now I just sneak back food from the cafeteria. LP IP: Logged |

The lunch of champions: 1/4 lb sliced turkey or tuna mixed with cottage cheese, this also makes a great 'burger' by the way No muss no fuss Grab an old poweraide or gatoraide bottle and toss in some metrx or myo....add water when you need it throughout the day ------------------ Don't hate me because I'm HUGE ! Buy a wok! Sounds dumb, but that thing has saved me so much damn time. Chicken and beef cooks in about 7 minutes, and you can throw rice, vegetables, hot sauce, whatever, and make hundreds of different stir fry meals. I think it is the next best thing to the blender! IP: Logged |
