This is for all the old timers. What are some of the better training splits you guys have come up with over the years I'm trying to focus alot on pecs, traps, delts. Any help would be appreciated, I'm in a big rut right now. Well hell if any one has some good splits i'm interested. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I have noticed that the longer that you train, the more you lean towards 1 body part per day. This is doing 1 body part per day and one doing each bodypart only once per week. Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

I like the 4 day split, Mon: Chest/tri/shou/ Tues: Back/bi's/Legs Wed ff Thurs: same as mon. Friday: same as tues. I would use first 2 days heavy and last 2 days light. I try to do pushing muscles one day and pulling muscle another day. Does not matter for legs though. IP: Logged |

2Thick is right Bomb one muscle group a day I feel this works the Best, and stick with the basics, straight Bar Bench flat, incline, and decline. Shrugs and milatery press, Deads, squats, stick with the bars and go heavy without losing form of course. IP: Logged |

Squats Chest Back Rest Deadlifts Shoulders Arms I like throwing the day in there for dealifts, nothing but deadlifts. Also on squat day I hit hamstrings. Matt Matt IP: Logged |

Being an " OLD TIMER " myself, I have found that I get the best results from the following : Mon : chest/calves May not be for everyone, but over the years it has been the split for me. ------------------ IP: Logged |
