I love drinking my beer, and while I don't get totally blasted, I usually finish off a six pack on the weekends. I am currently doing a light six week testostorne cycle trying to get back what I have lost do to my injury. Why is it that you shouldn't mix beer and roids? I mean will it affect my gains? I am thinking there are a lot of calories in beer, and I could use the extra calories. Let me know, because if it going to affect my gains I will all together stop drinking, but don't want to if I don't need to.

Thanks,
Dan

You are doing enough damage to your liver with the gear, alcohols just going to do more damage to it. Plus there is an increased risk of gyno.

Yes, it will effect your gains. Your body will not regrow muscle tissue 24 hour after drinking alcohol. If you train in that window you will only tear muscle tissue down. Plus you will be dehydrated

I think it will effect your gains. It is nothing but empty calories to start with. Also it decreases test. Now on a test cycle, your body will shutdown its own test production, but why shut it down faster. Also it does increase the chances for gyno, since test is low, estrogen rises. And damage to the liver. Although injectables aren't real hard on the liver like orals, mixing beer puts that much more stress on your liver. So you have some info bro, its up to you what you do with it. You have to figure out what your goals are and which is more important: Consuming beer/alcohol or test and growing. It up to you. A couple of beers a week is ok, but no more than that.

JUST BREAK IT DOWN LIKE EVERY OTHER CHEMICAL YOU INJEST DURING A CYCLE.

Then weigh the benefits/risks ratio.

Beer consists of alcohol, wheat derivatives, sugars in addition to the alcohol.

alcohol gets broken down like a simple sugar in the body. It also creates a bunch of junk when metabolized, so it puts a strain on your filters (liver/kidneys). High calorie pergram (9). It is a depressant.

The other things in beer are rether innoculous, but empty calories.

Benefits of beer?
TASTES GOOD
BREAKS DOWN MY INHIBITIONS
IT'S FUN TO GET A LITTLE DRUNK

So, if those things are worth the added strain on your filtering system, and the effects of a depressant, and the surge of empty calories on your program, fine. If you can take eioght weeks off, that's probaly a better way to go.

Won't kill ya, might mot even notice it hindering your gains, but I do the math in these situations.

I kind of have to drink once a week with my fraternity. It doesn't seem to affect me too much. I don't work out the day after drinking though. Don't worry about it too much. Unless, you are competing in the Arnold Classic or something, you shouldn't be too worried about it. It won't affect your gains that much. Just try to keep it to a minimum.

There's nothing wrong with a few beers once in a while on a test cycle. The test supression and est changes are minimal to the point of nonexistence (I'm talking about just a few beers) and one or two drinks won't stress your liver overmuch. On very heavy cycles (3000 mg/wk+), you shouldn't drink at all until your axis is back to normal. You also shouldn't drink if you're taking HCG, or, if you're incorporating A-50s into your cycle, don't drink if you're using 3 or more/day. Alcohol also doesn't go well with other DHT derivatives (Winny) and pure androgens (Cheque Drops, Halo/Stenox etc).
